........ take a good hard bloody look at yourselves.

This is what football clubs are built on - emotion - not a linear plan to secure draft pick a, b, c.

Proud of those young kids, I don't think we would've won that with some of the senior players that missed just going through the motions.

When the game stopped being about structures and set-ups, etc, and became about who wanted it more, we got back into the game. End of story.

GO PIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree!
All you can ask for is for (seeing the football gods have not shone us kindly this year) if for the team to display guts and courage and they did that in spades.

I agree! I totally wanted us to win! We can still get Moore for a second round pick by spreading rumours about his health or something... Wink

Seriously, great win against the odds though, and the confidence these young guys will take from this game is worth more than any one player for next years draft!

I was more emotionally engaged in that game than I have been for a while. **** yeah, that was a win. That's how you play footy with pure guts and effort, screw the game plan, rotations and statistics, that was about fkn wanting to win and being prepared to do what was needed.

Whatever happens next week will happen, that game just put the acid on the kids for the pre season.

Nothing like a great winning feeling. I was so proud of the way the boys played especially in the second half when they knew they could win and have a famous victory especially with the number of injuries we sustained today.

I doubt we'll beat Hawthorn next week but the fact that the side has shown spirit is enough to keep us going. One way or another, I'll be there supporting this side next week!

Rather another top ten pick than a win against the team sitting 3rd last in GWS.

We'll get smashed next week and this win will count for zilch other than it makes it less likely we'll snare Moore for a second rounder.

It's called the bigger picture and with the future of Scharenberg now uncertain being able to basically obtain two top 10 players in this years draft would be a massive boost to our future hopes.

Some of you can all comfort yourselves in this insignificant victory against poor opposition if you like I'd prefer to be selecting another potential Pendlebury in this years draft.

We tanked in 2005 and it was the smart thing to do.

Simple.

No I don't think I can do all comfort yourselves in this insignificant victory against poor opposition if you like he or she'd prefer to be selecting another potential Pendlebury in this years draft.

sure. that's your prerogative.

in a season that has not gone so well, try to accept there are those who want to savour the win. that's our prerogative.

Ah, but would a loss today have guaranteed us the pick you crave, or are there too many variables at play in the other remaining games for 2014, to get that definative answer?
