"When you go to the three-quarter time huddle and see some of his teammates in tears because they know what's happened ... that tells you something about the make-up of our playing group, who have copped it from all angles this year," Buckley said. "I can't speak highly enough about the integrity and character of our group and the way they've handled themselves in the second half of this year.

"We can be better, there's no doubt about it, but the supporters of the club should rest assured you've got a young senior group and up-and-coming talent who are absolutely committed to this footy club and doing whatever they can to make a success of it."

If this was another team, we'd be hanging shit on them unmercifully, like we did when Reiwoldt teared up after hurting his shoulder.

It's fine to feel bad for the guy, and I do, but crying about it at the huddle is a bit much.

Mate, I don't care less if we win, lose or draw (well sorta.. you know what I mean), but sometimes real life is so shit, I need to be able to look forward to our clubs next game... I need the club to be 100% in it, up to their neck every time - I won't accept anything less, and that's why I can't accept delusions, rabbit in headlights or half hearted efforts from within our coaches box when the boys are throwing themselves at it out on the ground - that's the only reason I get on the '"perceptive fellow"' bandwagon, and the only reason I joined Nick's in the 1st place - Passion 4 Pies!!

A big difference crying when injured compared to teammates feeling bad for a guy who has been through the injury BS and is looking at another year out!

Footy is a very intense environment - these guys are putting their bodies on the line and it is a much better state of affairs that they feel for the guy rather than not! I'm with Bux on this one!

That's the team for people like you defender.
Go and enjoy winning every week.

(Something tells me you would still want the coach sacked and certain players delisted)

And you, president of the "perceptive fellow" brigade, lead you morbid mob like lemmings, over a cliff face. Rolling Eyes

I admit I got a bit teary watching Bucks' presser. And I don't even know Brent! Fair to say the players feel worse than I do.

it's a shame every thread has to degenerate into a slanging match and pint scoring. who gives a continental about "perceptive fellow" and what not.

some of you need to grow the **** up.

NO, Johnnie, when they seek to denigrate a touching moment or great and gutsy win, they get what they deserve, in spades. Its a positive thread, they try to turn it sour, not us. Exclamation
