Not decided yet, if he let's the Lions low ball us it'll be open season, but if he makes sure we're looked after I won't.

Defender, for one of the first times ever, I agree with you!!

To be honest my feelings are that if he leaves, as looks certain based on his non-appearance tonight and it comes to light that there's far more going behind the scenes than his dad's health then stuff him, he will be the enemy.

if it's all legit I don't see the point in booing him. Actually I'm not much of an incessant booer anyway!!

I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure.

No - I don't boo players. Made a bad decision not to attend tonight. Perhaps he was worried about the reception. Wasn't very brave though.

I was really disappointed with his non-attendance. I agree.... showed a lack of courage (and petulance???).

I cannot foresee the circumstances where I would ever boo a player who has represented our great club. And he is also a Collingwood Premiership player. It is just not OK to boo a player such as him.
I can dislike his current actions, but he has put his body on the line for Collingwood Football Club, and been a star as well.
His non-attendance tonight was extremely disappointing and weak willed. It revealed both a lack of strength in character, and sadly a lack of respect for the team of which he has been such an important and appreciated part.
His actions express clearly that he does not wish to play for Collingwood next year. We now need to act accordingly and ruthlessly strive for maximum return from his departure.

I know that his recent actions have been very disappointing especially with him turning down the offer to attend the Copeland Trophy tonight but I just can't find it in my heart to boo him for some reason.

I think he's been an awesome player for the club since he debuted back in 2009 and his dedication to the contest is unquestionable. He earned a lot of respect from me after he withdrew himself from playing in the 2011 Grand Final due to an injury and the fact that he gave up the opportunity to play in another Grand Final showed how much the club meant to him.

I'm saddened by this recent situation as it's very likely that he won't be playing for us next year but I can't help but appreciate the effort he has made on the footy field since he started playing for the club back in 2009. Whatever happens, I hope Beams is happy with his new destination and we get the compensation that we deserve in return for the loss of his services.

Withdrew after playing possibly the worst game I've seen from a Collingwood player in the Prelim. Make no mistake he was going to be dropped.

I don't boo, but I've got to say that I never really liked Beams and now I'm starting to understand why.

That's a matter of opinion more than anything else.

Despite a really poor game in the Preliminary Final in 2011 I think the club would have selected him had he not been injured.

I was all on his side before tonight.

But his no-show, then his smartarse responses on social media have completely changed my mind about him.

**** him. He's not one of us. So he's against us.

Boo away people!
