I know for many on here it's been a constant source of frustration in regards to mixed messages concerning injuries ie Reid.
So to make life easier I thought I would take historical data of terminology used by the club against the actual time frame a player spends out injured.
The below is based on player being injured in round 1

1- Player out for 1-2 weeks means likely to miss 6 weeks then be re-evaluated to miss a further few weeks
2- Player out for 3-4 weeks means player likely to miss 10 weeks then be re-evaluated to miss remainder of season
3- Player out for 5-6 weeks be back for 1st week of finals then be re-evaluated to miss remainder of season and first 6 rounds of following season
4- Player out for 8 weeks or more means season over and possibly career over then be put on life support pending certain death
5- Player out for season means please read Herald Obituaries for funeral details.

I hope this helps clarify injury reports in the future.

According to Balme the club injury reports this year will not use 'weeks', but instead use short term, medium term, and long term.

He explains what these terms mean in his first video injury report for the year on the CFC website.
