do you think we (the afl and/or collingwood) have anything to be worried about in light of k hunt's charges?
when the statement was made a couple of years ago that a particular day was "the blackest day in australian sport" it also inferred that there were activities outside of what the flogs from tullamarine were up to. are we now just starting to learn what they meant back then? _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

You would think that it would have come to light much earlier than this especially when considering the pressure ASADA and others have been under to come up with results after making such grandiose claims.
You are going to find people of all walks in life caught up with the use or distribution of drugs. Football player are potentially more exposed to this lifestyle due to their money and celebrity status in the community. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

Blackest day had zero to do with recreational drugs. Two separate issues that are confused way too often. |

Nothing to "worry" about. If we have players caught up in it, let them face the consequences. So be it. Not sure we should be "worried". Get rid of them, if they are found. And no point speculating either. I'm sure there are rumours regarding players from lots of clubs. No point adding any fuel to the rumour fire here. _________________ "The night is a very dark time for me" Chaz Michael Michaels |

Society has a problem with drugs
Players are part of society
I would be far more surprised if no player at Collingwood touched drugs.
Considering the foaming at the mouth response should a player go out drinking alcohol from the media and some supporters it make sense to use recreational drugs that don't affect a players weight _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

To extend this perfect logic.
Society has a problem with drugs
Umpires are part of society.
Is this why the umpiring has been bloody aweful over the past few years? _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

We've already had Ben Cousins and the other drug related dramas.
I'm sure there are other AFL players using stuff recreationally, some may even be dealing, but I don't think we need to be concerned about a systemic problem. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
