Requires surgery apparently, I don't wish injury on anyone but damn, we dodged a bullet when he left us.

He landed funny, could happen to anyone. Yes he was getting slow, and yes we got the best of him. Let it be. Pendles fixed him up, it's over.

This is precisely why we should never have been so harsh on him for leaving. We chose not to take the risk, he chose to take the money on offer since it was likely going to be his last payday.

I hope people start to appreciate what he meant to the Collingwood Football Club during our only successful era of the last 20 years. He was arguably the x factor that turned a great team into a premiership team!!!!

I am certain that if he hadn't of suffered such a debilitating injury, he would have gone down as an all time great Collingwood person (as his buddy Scott Pendlebury surely will).

Yes some people have been harsh. In my opinion this was uncalled for. We weren't prepared to match Carlton's offer and I have always thought that we were right in not doing so.
He may come back, but it just might turn out to be a long road from here.
For mine I will always remember the young tousle-haired kid from Drouin who provided so much excitement. That audacious mark on Anzac day !
But Life goes on and exciting young players don't remain so forever.
Anyhow, here's to a speedy recovery.

If he wasn't playing for the free kick and throwing his arms out wouldn't have got injured...

yeah thats exactly what I thought when it happened. He raised his arms playing for a free the moment he was slung to the ground causing the injury.

Think we are jumping the gun aren't we? No-one has said he will miss 12-16 weeks. Still waiting on scans. Let's see the results.

All the best for him. He chased the money and he has 700K reasons a year to not regret his decision.

As for me I will remember him as a premiership hero.

Who can forget his 50m floater goal, or when we desperately needed a goal in GF1 in the 3rd qtr, his panicked miss from 20 metres out, or his mark minutes later only to pass off to Blair who hit the post (should have taken the responsibility on himself then)😊

Exactly. Flung his arms out.
As we know he's not a good healer. Another two years out will just about take him to the next contract.
One year of footy every five is great surfing opportunity.

Agreed, became injury prone, as his body developed.

We really only saw 1-2 B&F level seasons from him at the Pies.

Just shows where the game is going with players worried more about "playing" the umpire than playing the ball.

I blame the Umpires getting sucked into Geelong's acting for this. All players do it now and it's horrible to watch.
