I went to listen to collingwood radio last night for the VFL
and what did I find - Nothing!
How can a club like Collingwood which is a 80 mil plus
monster be so slack with their coverage of our VFL side?
Our home games are covered by 2 young biased ( yes! ) announcers.
Seriously in 2015 how can we not cover every match either with
internet radio plus internet TV.
It would not cost much.
Use a community media organization like
SYN FM to provide the technical and people manpower.
Ed get out of the corporate area and provide your
supporters with some grassroot media exposure.
I rely on the great work of MagpieBat for his personal coverage
here on Nicks
When I spoke to him last year he told me that the Club
had not had any contact with him.
And yes Jackcass I am still waiting for your player review from last night!

the club is doing a great job of enhancing its coverage of the vfl. there is more footage, more analysis and more interviews than ever before. no doubt it will continue to build on this as supporter interest and demand increases. at the moment it is catering for a hardcore element and it is good the club has recognised this.
i would love for the vfl to be in the hearts and minds of our entire supporter base, not just a fanatical few, and footy lovers in general. it is so critical to the success of the afl operation.

Anyway it is a long way from Iceland to Bendigo.

Magnificent place. You should go. Really. Unless you're very adventurous, though, don't eat the putrified shark. Last time I was in Iceland, Collingwood was doing very badly and it was so beautiful where I was that I simply didn't care. |

i see the vfl tried a trial of a streamed game. i think in the past there were too many commercial issues to allow the club to do the live streaming video.
anyway, i have emailed your question to someone at the club.

I did wonder about the legal/rights issues.
But no one else is broadcasting the game,
Then it may come down to the gate/ground money take.

There need to be a hell of lot of People Watching the Video’s the Club put up on CTV.
The Club been Putting up a Full Game Replay during the Week which is a Massive Step in the Right Direction

I have seen on youtube they have tried to Stream some games but they are mostly done Privately

I imagine there would not be a lot of people watching live broadcasts of the VFL.
But that is not the point.
It should been seen as a service to the plebs.
The product is football games and this pleb wants both
AFL and VFL games live.
