ROUND 9: Norf (probably)

Is there a game on this week? It's so quiet on the forums. The only thing stopping the Match Committee from worrying that the general lack of interest and activity at training this week is a sure sign of a lack-lustre performance on the field this afternoon and a right royal flogging at the hands of some no-name mob called Norf is ... well, to be honest, it's only because the Match Committee is dozing quietly after a solid Sunday roast and mostly pondering whether it would be, all things considered, better to follow up with a brandy or stick to that rather nice cabernet-merlot we had with the chicken. It's these tough decisions that cause all the stress!

Still, I suppose we'd better have a team, and seeing as last week's mob routed the Witches Hats by ten goals or so and seem to think that they can play a bit, I suppose we'd better let 'em have another go.

CHANGES

The Club has denied all rumours that relations between Stui Magpie and the Coach have broken down after an incident at training. In fact, there has never been a relationship between Stui Magpie and the Coach, and the negatives have been burnt. Player Magpie will take his place at centre half-forward and the Coach will be in the box weeping over our inability to kick straight in attack, same as always.

After a good performance as sub last week, The Prototype comes into the starting lineup, with E tagged to wear the vest, mostly because the Coach thinks E's dummy spits are amongst the best this side can produce and he'd like to see more of them.

Next week Watt Price Tully will return from his sojurn in the Reserves. One of you will go out to make room for him. Are you feeling lucky?

Go get 'em lads!

(If that's not too much trouble, of course.)

Strong team again coach… heads up though… as a designated bench warmer I must admit it gets really tough waiting for the all clear from 35forever - by the time he is finished ranting the qtr is almost up and my fingers have frost bite blisters from the cooling glove!

In my rightful position again, as I should be.

You try any of that zoning-off, intercept marking, showing no respect crap, Scott Thompson, and I will destroy you.

Time to rock and roll...

Ilove the wet and hard slog, time to get down and get dirty, time to come off covered in mud, we can and will win this convincingly. !

I'd like to confirm that the coach has my full support and that I will take my place today happy to stick it to some skippy.

Batboy, all worked well last week, hopefully you didn't catch anything from your little sojourn with the more female members of the cheersquad last week post game, lets just do it again. I'll set em up..........

On the pine again which is quite apt really considering I drank so much last night I can barely stand up.
But I'll be there when needed someone just point me in direction of Harvey and I'll end his day real quick smart.
Coach if your looking for a suitable omission next week may I suggest Stui I'm hearing he has been cohorting with members of the cheers squad in mysterious dark and dingy abodes. I'm not going to call them a dungeon or make light of the fact he has what can only be ligature marks from handcuffs on his wrists and has been crying himself to sleep at night whilst sucking his thumb.
Ok onwards and upwards from here guys beat these kanga's today and we entrench ourselves in the top 8 and set up the season. Lose and we will have to listen to bloody hiss calling for everyone's sacking

The umpires have given me absolutely nothing in the first half.

I thing a directive was sent from Wayne Campbell to the umpiring dept about my staging at being a footballer.

It was what the coach didn't say at half time that made the difference… well done coach!
