Barlow's was better, under the circumstances and considering the player. |

I'm not sure. Since the plastic surgery it's really hard to tell. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Didn't he who shall not be named (scum turncoat) kick a similar left foot banana in 2011, during a purple patch? Not sure it even made the final for goty but might have been gotw. I think Krak had a few nominations that year, wow, that was a great year for highlights, wasn't it. Pity about the ending... Over it? He who shall not be named would've won the Brownlow that year. But the scumps allowed the Freo players to target him until out of frustration he retaliated and got rubbed out. He wasn't the same after he returned from suspension. |

That's a joke, right? The Freo game was round 23. He just missed the Brownlow by the small matter of 8 BOGs (he finished 24 votes behind the Great Dane). In fact, all the Brownlow votes he has been awarded over his entire career so far wouldn't have been enough to win the Brownlow that year - 21 would have got him into 8th place (and still not even made him the second highest Collinwood vote-getter that season: that was Pendles, who received 24 and finished 5th).
He played the 2011 PF (was a bit rusty but laid that brilliant tackle on Rioli late) and then had a very fine game in the GF (one of the few who did). |

I must have my seasons mixed up. But I could've sworn he who shall not be named was going though a purple patch, then we played a game against Freo? and they were going after him big time. At one point he was remonstrating with one Freo player and another ran up behind him and cannoned into his back, right in front of the umpire, and the umpire didn't give him a free kick. Not long after that he who shall not be named finally had enough and let one go, which resulted in his suspension. |

Dangles, you might be thinking of the 'Aints game earlier in the 2011 year. He was suspended after that one, too, although just for a week. My recollection is that in the lead up to the game Lyon asserted that he who shall not be named was probably the best player in the AFL at that time. |

I stand corrected. At least I can stop going through life thinking he was robbed of a Brownlow. |

Am I the only one not that impressed by Betts' goal?? I may be a harsh judge but he didn't dodge anyone, he took a handball receive, did a u-turn and threw it on the boot - albeit in the right direction. The ball bounced the right way....?? Am I missing something? I guess it was a tight angle but....
meh... good on him I guess.
Hawks do this off one step 5 times a game from 55 out. _________________ Side By Side Forever |

GoWoodsmen, I don't think most of us have seen the goal or even care about it. As it happens, I opened stoliboy's link and did have a look and thought "meh... good on him I guess" or something like that! Travis Cloke kicked a better goal in the first quarter of the Richmond game but it was from a set shot, so no-one said much about it. |
