The VFL are every chance of winning the last 4 and finishing top 4. Could we stack the side for a final with AFL players and hand out some farewell games in seniors if that game counts for nothing?

Possibly, because the first week of the VFL finals falls on the weekend of AFL Round 23, the eligibility criteria are unrestricted for selection to play in the VFL finals (Regulation 20.5). All you have to do to be eligible under that clause is to have played 1 VFL or AFL game. However, Regulation 20.7 would appear to contradict that, which says players who have played more than 12 AFL games are ineligible...
I doubt Buckley would do it in any event, especially since there is still a small chance that our AFL season could still be alive on that Sunday...

If we put our senior players into the VFL they are bound to lose. I wouldn't play many of our senior guys in the Mardi Gras Seconds.
