Whilst seaching I located an article discussing our potenttial rise next year
And we were givn a positive assesment using the premise of Swann and Pendles in support roles giving the engine to DeGoey ,Adamds ,Crisp etc.

Damn near fell outta my chair --media positive about us

A man who played 364 games without ever appearing in a Grand Final. His opinion would be worth what, exactly?

Well he would be like any retired player transfering to the media of course
But the proof abiet quite small was displayed when De Goey handed a role
in the mid whilst Pendles supported elswhere hense a 4 quarter drubbing
of Geelong R22
That was aknowledged by the ordinary fan with no games

Hopefully Johnson is on the money.
Barrybc makes a good point about what happened in the Geelong game. Use Pendles in a quarter back role with time in the middle and up forward.
Swanny rotating between the middle and forward.
Keep the opposition guessing.
Let the next generation come through with most of the grunt work in the middle.
Adams Treloar Greenwood Crisp Williams to do most of the heavy lifting with Grundy and sometimes Witts as the big boys in there.

It'd be worth 364 games more than your opinion.

My desire is that we create a young A grade mid to see us into the future
Because at some stage they must take ownership of that future for the
better as the Swanns and Pendles will age and retire

So a 364 game player would have a significantly better understanding of the game IF he played in a GF.

Hence, If Bucks had won a GF his understating of the game would be much greater than what it is today.

It simply does not make sense to me.

Agree Member. I have never seen the sense or logic in those critics of Buck's who put him down because he never won a flag! What petty nonsense! Some of the VFL/AFL greats hardly played a final, let alone win a flag and they are still considered legends of the game.
Good on them if they win a flag but not winning one doesn't make them less greater..... Rolling Eyes

MacEvany has an opinion ,Robbo has an opinion and in fact people who post on here have an opinion who never played a single game .
Brad,s observation was based on signs he feels he saw in 2015 --and the signs he saw I believe i saw as well and to improve the club is accumulating
a young side of quality players who of course must produce

Brad Johnson is entitled to an opinion and considering he played 364 games and played over 15 years of professional football I think he'd have a fair idea of the standards expected in any club and I think he sees something special developing at our club.

For what it's worth I think his views are shared by many around here who expect us to naturally progress from 10-11 wins in the last two seasons and attempt to take the next step by playing finals football and not having second half fadeouts again.

Along with Cameron Mooney, it's refreshing to see someone positive about our prospects as it's better reading what Johnson and Mooney have to say in comparison to some of the nonsense that is dished up by so-called experts towards our club.
