Rohan Connolly tipping Collingwood to make the top 4 this year:

“...To me (the Magpies) are a bit of a mirror of West Coast last year. They have assembled a group of 20 to 25 year olds that numerically might be the most in the league but they’re all blokes that have a few seasons under their belts....”

Our defence is too young, too injury prone, and stil lacks class. Aish, Reid, some Pendlebury, and Shaz (not this year) will help. How anyone can make a call based on our NAB game is ridiculous. We'll finish anywhere from 6-12.

Comment made on pure biased speculation:

We will finish anywhere betwen 3 and 10

Comment based on experience and reality:

We will finish between 5 and 12.

Comment based on typical Nick's posts on this subject:

We will finish in the top 4 and win the flag.

That just about covers it all..... Twisted Evil Razz

I'm with Ro-Co.

We will cut Sydney to shreds.
Round 2 v Richmond will be epic

Go for it Carringbush - smash the Swans, Cloke will take 15 contested marks up the ground and Moore will kick 8 goals 3, Reid to take 12 intercept marks and Pendles and Swan to rest the second half on the bench in preparation for the "big one" against Richmond, who played their seconds team and beat Carlton by 155 points, with the game being called off at three quarter time in the first ever mercy rule (for the spectators).

In fact I think the way we moved the ball against Geelong is the perfect recipe to beat Sydney. Lets hope we keep that form up.

The AFL looks like it will increase the exclusion zone to 10m to stop the sideways creep and give more teams a chance to move the ball on quicker and use the 45 degree inboard kick.

Agree. We have short memories. We lost to Melbourne and Essendon and Richmond by 91 in the last 6 weeks last year.
We will be better but that sort of outcome is only possible if we have a dream run with injuries...which wont happen

Wowee, I've always thought RC was one of the more measured ones! Not impossible but I reckon we're probably on par with 3 or 4 others and no better than 3 or 4 more. By my reckoning that puts us around 5 to 10 (maths not my strong point). My main concern, as it has been for the last couple of years is injuries, how they're managed and if we're going about it the right way. Have to have faith that we are but it has wavered a little. A bit over the nicks and strains that seem to take six weeks to get over. Whatever happened to 2 week hammies?

Hammies are now at best six weeks. With our Club a typical hammy is seven to nine weeks. If you are Reid, Sinclair, Marsh or Elliott it is ten weeks followed by a another tear.
