I don't give a shit about:
- The "Glasshouse Reception Centre"
- artificial tradition like "waving the scarf"
- getting a woman's football team
- GWS, COLA, Brisbane Lions salary concessions
- player rec drug taking in the off season
- socialites being preferred over past players
- former iron men as mentors to coaches
- an executive team that seems to love the media a bit too much
- a coach that does a lot of tv win, lose, lose, lose.......

It would be nice to have a club that is more concerned with seeing their name on the top of the ladder as opposed to the Confidential section of the Hun.

Might be a tad old fashioned, but perhaps giving our kids a tour of old Vic Park, a look at the old gal, so steeped in tradition, fear of the Magpies, show them where they really come from, and represent. A break from the rarified and sterile atmosphere of the Holden centre, take em back to their roots, get a really good speaker to lecture the boys on the clubs long and proud history, show em the old photos etc. Cant do any harm, I remember Bob Rose did this many years ago when the club was in a slump, and the players responded with a big win the following week. Just a thought.

very true Big Dan…

I would also add I don't give a shit about:

- what recreational drugs our players take
- what our CEO thinks about our premiership prospects or about drug taking
- leading players or whatever consulting mumbo jumbo is in vogue
- how good the coach was in the press conference…

I just want a team that plays for each other - for their supporters - for pride in their jumper and develop players and a game plan that is exciting and wins games of footy!

Nailed it!

Club and Eddie have lost touch. They are a bunch of Toorak Toffs that are in high positions at the club for status symbols around Melbourne and the high society.

More concerned about female equality and homeless shelters than winning games of football.

The shelters are a bloody good idea. That is something the club should be proud of. That's what I'd like to see the club talking about in place of 3 year premiership plans.

I would also like to add VFL games at Gosches Paddock.

At least show some respect to rest of Te VFL and play at a real ground. Not a glorified practice park.

There's nothing wrong with female equality and homeless shelters,i think they are both admirable objectives. But we should be able to win games of football as well.We can and should be able to do both.

Nothing wrong with it if there is moderation.

The female / male ratio is a good example. My personal belief is the best candidate gets the job irregardless of their gender. This hasn't been the case at Collingwood.

Some very good people have recently left the club like Jono Bernard because the working envrionment is not reflective of the best applicants getting jobs based on their gender.

Pert is hated internally and he has gone overboard with this.

Spent today in the MCC members area.
I really wanted to go down to my standing room area behind the city goals.
The Corporate way is the Eddie way and I friggin hate it!
The new social club sums up completely what is wrong.

Agree. The Glasshouse is what is wrong with the club. It is a meeting point for Toorak's elite rather than the people who underpin the club finances.

A 200 game legend of the club recently told me how he was told that he wasn't welcome to the opening of the Glasshouse (he is a hall of fame member) but they chose to invite the people that appear on the Real Housewives of Melbourne in his place. Eddie has sold out our club.

Yes I know an old committee man who said the same thing about his treatment under Eddies watch.
The glasshouse is a corporate place that has no collingwood soul whatsoever.

Glasshouse is operated by his Toorak couple friend that operated the Big Group. It's all about his cliquey Toorak set.

The Glasshouse has been built on members funds and the Big Group are profiting on the back of our investment. It is sickening.

Just googled the big group.
And yes they specialize in corporate functions.
I don't know what connection they have with eddie.
But everything I have read from you has checked out so far.
