I received my 2016 Membership Ticket in the mail today. It says that it expires 10/2020.

I am a Legends Member, not a Club 5 Member.

Is the Club now issuing Membership tickets that we will be keeping for 5 years now, like a credit card?

Heathcliff

I rang the Club to enquire exactly about the issue you raised.

They said “should you not change seat allocation or membership category; it will not issue a new card to the member”. To answer your enquiry, yes, it will act like any other card and be active until it expires (like a credit card).

However, “should you change the seat allocated to you then yes, a new card will be issued”.

Similarly, “should you change your membership category, then yes; a new card will be issued”.

Information is provided on the club's membership website under the "your membership card" category.

Card Expiry 2020

The card you have received is a functional membership card (entry/seat location) it will have some pretty amazing functions for the 2016 season, soon to be released.

Members will have the choice for a seasonal card issued every year if they choose.

Another question regarding memberships, is it possible to track the delivery of our membership like we have in previous years or is this system gone?

I actually really like the look of the Legends membership card this year.

I kept getting confused with last years with the year of joining on the front. I kept thinking it was the year the card was for.

I think this seasons has a bit of smarts about it.

The club seems to be cheaping the membership every year.

I am a gold social club member.

The social club medallion is gone and replaced by a Keyring nowadays

And this year (2016 season) the car stickers have been reduced in size even further. They are very small for the back window now.

They have now produced the membership/season ticket card to last several seasons. (2020 expiry in my case)

Theoretically, surely that would mean a reduction in membership, if they don't need to provide me with a card every year its renewed.

We all know about the poor quality products, caps, polos etc since Star Athletic too over.

Sorry for the whinge, but it seems we dont get a lot for our money these days.

I'm really disappointed about them issuing a membership card that's supposed to last for 5 years!!

2 reasons:
- My card won't last 5 years pulling it in and out of the wallet every time I scan in or out.
- I like to collect each year's card.

Not one of your better cost cutting exercises this one, Collingwood Membership Department!!!!
Not too late to reverse either.

SteveH67 "And this year (2016 season) the car stickers have been reduced in size even further. They are very small for the back window now" .The Car Membership sticker is an embarrassment. Looks like we are ashamed to be Members and are trying to keep it on the low down. If the cost is that exorbitant to produce these, get rid of half of the little things and just give us one loud and proud image.

So you keep this Card until 2020 and don't need a new one?

Is this correct, no Social Club Medallion? I have every social club badge since 1960..... they can't stop them, surely?

How long does it take to get your members stuff???

I paid my membership on the 18th of December. I got an envelope with my card on the 15th of this month and am still waiting on the rest.

I check the tracker today and it says "Processed" 10-14 days delivery... that'll be almost 3 months Confused

Hope that Bucks is wearing his glasses then , whenever he drives past any Pies fans with Pies membership stickers on their vehicles

My email to the membership department. I think it's fair.

To:

membership@collingwoodfc.com.au;

Hi Chris

I just received my membership pack. I have to say, I'm very disappointed with; the stickers & the 'medallion'.

I like to put my membership sticker on my cars back window, not much point with this one, you'll only be able to see it if you're sitting on the boot. Way too small.

The medallion.... now this is what I'm really annoyed about. I collect the social club medallions, I have every one since 1960. The last 5 or 6 years the design hasn't changed one bit and now it's been downgraded to a keyring?!

Next year marks the 50th year of social club medallions being issued (the first was 1957... I think). Please, can we see some thought and creativity go back into their design and production? This generic one, in a bag, with a made in China sticker on it, is an insult to long term Social Club members. I hope I'll see an improvement next year!

Go PIES.

Regards

Paul
