Big big game for our coach.
Anything short of a competitive display today will tell me he is not the coach for 2017. I think Gubby Allan would think the same.
I'm going along today after requiring two weeks offer after the Richmond debacle.
Bit nervous about what will transpire today actually. Still scarred from round 23 last year against the dons. |

THIS ! Yes, my heart says the Woods,but my head says our outs like moore, fas, reid, taylor adams, Elliott, are a bridge too far for us too cover. Neverthe less, just so long as we have a real go, don't get smashed like the deeees, and tigers, just bring a real competitive effort too the table. I reckon we will, and I hope we smash the likes of Hodge and his little shithead buddy Mitchell into the G turf, grind them down, and smash the pricks, injure them. We may not win the battle, but win the war.

Beating Hawthorn and preventing them from finishing in the top 4 would be the perfect end to an inconsistent season.
I'm not expecting us to win but we do generally a give a good account of ourselves against the top sides and I'm hoping today is no exception. Hawthorn has much to play for and with our poor record against them, I've never been confident against them over the years.
In the last few years, our final round matches have always been left supporters disappointed and somewhat deflated during the off-season so I'm hoping it changes today.

I know 58years is a hell of a long time but playing against a side who time after time beat us and with four quarter,s left to play in 1958 we had them
lined up to take our pride from us
58yrs on we are not in the drivers seat but we can make it harder maybe
for Hawks
