Its great to have the AFL, VFL, AFLW and Netball to support in 2017.

I hope all can win the ultimate prize.

Who is our best chance in 2017 to bring home the bacon ?

Im sure there will be some internal competition between the boys and girls to be the best.

Go Pies.

Odds for a flag;

AFL Womens Magpies - $6 third favourites, this is a sensational bet, back them right now.

Magpies Netball - $2.50 favourites, strong team, lots of national team players, lacking a real star shooter though.

VFL Magpies $20 - lost a great coach, lost plenty of experience, and lost Ben Moloney. Finals at best, no top 4

AFL Magpies - $30 - no chance at all of winning a premiership, I'd offer odds of $100 to anyone

With relatively short seasons for the Women's footy and Netball teams you can't afford a bad game or two, so it's not easy to win, but they are our best 2 chances of winning something next year.

I'll have $20

I'll take $100.

Netball....Dayight......Womens team....that is all. VFL and AFL teams aren't realistic chances unless something catastrophic happens to 10-12 other teams.

That doesn't matter. The womens teams could do with a men's auxiliary to prepare the sandwiches, fruit & drinks as well as a scone making effort.

You might fit right in. I hear they're looking for older conservative types stuck in their ways who find it hard to adapt to change Wink Razz

ha ha, that's a laugh, If you knew me at all well personally, youd know full well I'm hardly older conservative, hell, I'm as radical as I was at 20 something, a renegade lefty at heart, a rebel. I can embrace change, but honeslty, these sports do not interest me much at all, netball and basketball, have never won me, even male basket ball, I may take a vague interest in the footy one though, I actually don't know why they don't play the female games prior to the AFL main games, a curtain raiser, just as the Magoos used to be years ago. Would be better than just sitting in the stands watching the grass grow, why not have the womens footy games as a precursor to the main event of the day. Idea

I've only got 2 teams: Collingwood and Liverpool Football clubs.

Both formed in 1892.

Both from proud working class cultures.

Both hated by everyone else.

Similar mottos: Side by Side....You'll never walk alone.

Liverpool is on the rise (currently sit atop the English Premier League), whereas, I wouldn't have a clue where we are at just now. Confused
