| Post subject: WE have done well out of the Giants ! |  |

With Taylor adams, Treloar, and now this very exciting kid, Hoskin-Elliott to come in, the Woods have done very well, courtesy of the GWS, I reckon. I reckon these three young guns will be a very big part of our next Finals campaign, and our next, hopefully, Premiership team. ! Sure we had to give up a fair bit too get them, but hey, you have to give up something decent to get something decent, and that's exactly what we have done, with these very astute deals. To borrow Trumps line, Make Collingwood Great Again, I have no shadow of a doubt, these kids will do exactly that !

The frightening thing is that they have naturally enough kept the best talent for themselves. None of the players that we all rate (as should be the case) were rated that highly by them in comparison to other players vying for the same position. This is very scary when considering the depth of GWS.

Agreed we have done well but they have benefited from us to - Heath Shaw, a gun player has been awesome for them. Nothing wrong with a win/win situation.

Hoskin-Elliot was clearly on the outer at GWS.
I don't agree that Adams, and in particular Treloar, weren't rated highly. GWS needed to free up major salary cap room across the board, and they speculated that Treloar wanted to return to Victoria (which he subsequently confirmed at season's end).
Looking at what has happened with interstate players even just at Collingwood (Beams, Marsh etc), I think the club did the right thing by themselves in parting ways with a player who it became clear would eventually leave. But I'd guess that if Treloar had no desire to leave Sydney, he may have been a virtually 'untradeable' player. |

Exactly! Future brownlow medalist and premiership player.
There's not many that have the grunt of Adams, i like him a lot.
Not sure on the other bloke yet, time Will tell

| Jamie Elliot was also traded to us from GWS, admittedly before he played a game for them. Hope this kid can join the 3 other ex G's on the park this season |

GWS where not allowed to keep those players so they had to be Traded

What about Treloar? |
From my understanding they wanted to keep Treloar but we're not willing to pay anything near his asking price. If they valued him highly they would have paid up.
Don't get me wrong, I think Treloar is a fantastic player who will become a truely elite player in the future
