My older sister loved him during her teenage years.
Little did she know then that she was wasting her teenage fantasies on a gay man.
Have to admit I would have sung along to Wham also.
Sounds like he has taken his own life.

Hey the tunes were catchy, and the marketing was solid. No shame there.
Some Wham songs are FM-radio staples, and i've no problem with that.
Was George terminally ill though, or do we need to wait for more info?

Agreed, quite an extraordinary loss across the full spectrum of the industry. Not sure if any year will exceed 1980 though.

Yeah he may have had an undisclosed illness so I shouldn't have speculated about it being suicide so soon.
He nearly died from pneumonia a few years ago which can be associated with AIDS though again that would just be speculation on my part. |
