If you don't mind paying a few bucks then the AFL live app I used for the first time last week worked pretty well.
I'm not a Telstra customer so just streamed using my internet connection.
You need to get a free Telstra ID first and be prepared to watch on a screen no bigger than your smart phone or tablet. (displaying image on tv screen or computer might be possible for the tech savvy with compatible devices or software installed).
If you haven't used it previously you'll get a 2 week free trial though your credit card will be validated with a $1 charge at sign up.
I don't know of any private streams but I used vipbox a few weeks back and found a stream of reasonable quality without a lot of buffering or freeze ups.

sign up to Crownbet, just put 5 bucks in it. you can watch all games on your device. does anyone know if its possible to replicate your iphone screen onto TV ?
there is also a streaming site which I use, quality is poor, but happy to PM |

I have used VipBox.
I stream my iPad through an Apple TV using AirPlay. It works for an iPhone too. The Apple TV is connected to my television through HDMI.

I did this. Quality is reasonable....like watching on old analog. Maybe 480p but smooth and clear enough. I use a cheap and cheerful chinese android box with hdmi but you could also use a phone with an MHL adapter. |

cricfree.tv is UK streaming site. Probably under BT Sport 1 or 2 which shows AFL in the UK.

I get it through a VPN but a mate says www.mobdro.com is pretty useful for all sports.
