In a season of under achieving as a team this kid has played every game this year in both VFL and AFL--a goal he set himself at the start of the year

With a full season on the paddock and a good pre season Matt 2018 could be your breakout year

Well done

Glad you bring up Scharenberg Baz. He's been fantastic the last 3 weeks and is just the player we need in the backline to support Dunn, Langdon and company. Once we find a tall CHB to replace Reid who now finds himself in the forward line, we will have one of the best backlines in the competition.

There have been many positives this year, Shazza being one of them.
Is becoming a sweeper type player which seems to suit him.

Exactly --no season is a complete waste and Shaz is a definate plus

Believe Darcy Moore continuing to improve another plus and the two
kids Daicos and Brown showed they will be plus also

Next year McClarty and Kirby could get their chance--no finals sure but
we have upside

seems better with every game - our backline might be a little undersized but there is a lot to like - I thought Langdon was good yesterday too. Makes me wonder what to do with Ramsey and Schade

very pleasing to see him get continuity he so badly needed.

Those posters who were up in arms about him going back to VFL lack understanding that after what he has endured physically- he needed to be very carefully managed and would have been physically unable to complete a full season at senior level.

clear pre-season and we will see Jimmy Clement reincarnate

Great to see him finally manage to string a few games together and get better with each one. Hopefully a solid pre-season and improved fitness will see his kicking improve, as atm his kicks lack depth. Still, given his 2 knee recos, he's doing a fabulous job and should be congratulated.

yes - I cannot recall a long kick from him - but then he seems pretty accurate - I won't knock that. Maynards a big kick down there.
Just hope his injuries are behind him.

We got two long kicks down back--Dunne and Maynard and think Maynard is getting more accurate

Congratulations to Matt Scharenberg! A really fine game yesterday, and such a credit to his determination and commitment. I think we might have a beauty here. I really like the look of how our defence is shaping up. And if Mason Cox continues on with his development, why could he not play predominantly forward and Ben Reid go back to defence where he belongs.

like all players, once he believes he isn't playing for his spot every week, he will take more risks with his kicking and add some depth.
He looks like a one grab player when he goes for it too.
There is much to look forward to.

Yep - it's great to see him beginning to hit his straps after the horrific injuries he has had to overcome. Such strength of character not to drop his head and go home.
I'm very glad too that the Pies persevered with him and gave him every chance. It's a good story and we need those!

He had a small interview after the Geelong game on Collingwood media and
seems a decent chap--seemed very calm and focused on what he wants to achieve

Gave me the impression that he wouldn't fluster easy --my opinion anyways
