His first year was so impressive and yet we all know what happens when you give a weak prick too much adulation and money when his just too young. He watched Cloke make a heaps of money and produce little and why work any harder.

We are better to sell Grundy to give him a chance of playing to his potential and gain a player that that puts his body on the line at all times. Bucks needs men that try and not little boys enjoying the guernsey and we need to support Bucks. Whilst I would never support a player like Lyndsay Thomas from North, we need to confront our opposition in a much harder manner than we have done before. Never forget what happened to Ben Reid in that famous game against North hen Ben was taken out after the ball because that prick took him out late and weak, like the weak %$^%$£$% he has always been.

The next time any bastard takes a Magpie out he will understand how it hurts and the long term pain involved.

Grundy was good today after a tough start, worked very hard to nullify Nic Nat and beat him for two quarters. He's had a good few weeks where he is even taking some strong marks. Has really convinced me that he will be a top ruck as he matures, I don't think there's a better young ruck in the game, would be interested if someone could name one.

Grundy is doing fine - doing much better around the ground - at is only just 22 years of age… a keeper.

With Cox doing well however it might be time to move Witts on and look to secure a player with pace and x-factor!

For a 22 year old ruckman, Grundy is developing well. He competed excellently against Nic Nat in the second and third quarter so there are plenty of signs that we're on the right track with him despite some silly mistakes he makes along the way

By the time he hits 25 to 26 years of age which is when ruckman start to peak and fully develop, he'll be one of the best rucks in the competition.

NicNat smashed both our rucks.
He will get 3 brownlow votes for today.
It was depressing to watch.
Showed how far he is behind the best.

His hit outs were very effective early, but Nic Nat didn't do much in quarters two and three, they ran over us in the last but Grundy was very competitive. Outplayed Nic Nat around the ground (21 touches to 14, 4 marks to Nat's 1) and completely nullified him in the ruck for two quarters. It was a good performance from a young ruck against one of the game's best. Grundy's proven to be a real shining light, a definite A grader in prospect.

Completely disagree.

Grundy contests hard, and stood up pretty well today against a premier and established ruckman of the competition. You say he's clumsy, but I wouldn't say he's any more so than the standard man of his size - after all, it wasn't him falling over and costing us goals.

He's going to take time to develop, and yo have to accept that timeline when you decide to draft talented ruckmen rather than recruit cast-off big men.

Got drubbed in the first quarter and looked bog average, but its a measure of his character in the way he fought back in the 2nd and 3rd.

Did some dumb stuff, but I wonder if that backwards kick in the 2nd wasn't coached into him rather than being instinct

Crap thread.

Grundy did really well against a very very good ruckman. Older and far more mature rucks have been more embarrassed by Nic Nat.

not a crap thread
He gave away five free kicks doing clumsy/dumb things. He goes missing for a quarter but its okay he fought hard later on. Did the same against melbourne.

Last week he gave a way a fifty by kicking the ball away when play was completely stopped.

I am unsure of his long term prospects

Are some of you mad?
Nic Nat palmed the ball down the throat of his rovers time and time again.
He dominated the ruck contest.

You may have missed part of the game Wink. Nic Nat's tapwork was mostly ineffective for the second and third quarters, it's a large part of how we got back into the game. He dominated the first quarter, but Grundy fought back very well.

Also rucks don't only play in ruck contests, Grundy outperformed Nic Nat in general play.

Funny how both WA newspapers had NicNat in the bests for the Eagles.
They didn't have Grundy in the Pies best.
But I wouldn't have clue.
We will wait for the Brownlow votes at the end of the year.
