It will be interesting given our side is minus a player who was in our best in GF won’t play —Mr.Adams
But saying that the performance on Thursday against Richmond to me was a step up from our best in 2018
The current mid’s in Pendles,Sidey & Treloar now joined by Beams controlled the ball from one end to the other of the MCG
Time and time again they forced Richmond to defend deeper than usual
Remains to be seen that like us Weagles had a first round loss will return to their 2018 form a better unit
We most assuredly are and can be better _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I feel we are a better, more confident team this season, but I’ll feel better if the bastards lose again this week! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

My concern - and you can quote be on this - will this new arsehat rule brought in by dickhead/s in AFL rules committee, who now allow hands on back in marking contests.
We now encounter the biggest shover in the AFL in McGovern who gets away with everything, and his apprentice shover in Barrass, who they mold in his likeness.
The crowd will be screaming next week over this, but WATCH what happens when our defenders attempt the same thing: whistle against us.
McGovern needed his ribs badly tested early in that 2018GF, and NOBODY made the effort to do so; yet another reason why the cup went West.
Do we know if Kennedy and Gaff are playing yet, or still too soon to tell? _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Of our first three this is the one I REALLY want to win —hit them early and hit them hard
A win with a big confidence boost
Feel more comfortable with Darcy with his marking and defending knock away ball from his opponent
For a guy who was 50/50 in running he seems to cast that aside and that bone crusher tackle Thursday where he too could have injured says a lot
We have his agility and Roughead experience which would have been handy last stanza
This fact plus Crisp and Maynard improving rapidly I feel we can contain their fwd line _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Unfortunately like all 3 games against Wet Toast last year, Kennedy and Darling will play. Also Gaff is back for our game. I am confident. We will be so fired up we will destroy them. Adams will be back next week. _________________ Magpies love pies(Lol) |

After such a good all round performance by our team, I wonder who is likely to make way for the expected return of Adams? I suspect it will be out of Varcoe, whose tackling pressure is terrific, or Aish, who drew praise from Bucks, but whose decision-making in disposing the ball seems a little off to me. Josh Thomas could be another possible out, but I suspect he'll be kept in after improving on his round one performance.
Assuming Cox plays, we have no excuse not to smash the Eagles this time around. This time we have a fit and healthy Pendles, Howe and JDG as well as some talls in defence.
Jamie Elliott will snag 4 goals.
Pies by 47 points. |

Not sure this makes me feel me any better but the team that runs out this week would've won that GF. Pies by 4 goals _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Two games in and an old Maggie boy is starting to impact—I talk of Beams
I believe he will be the man we need to take out a GF allowing we get there _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Well, Beams & Roughead weren't available then, so let's not agonize (even more). |

If the Cox suspension is upheld, the coaching panel will have some selection headaches this week.
It's unclear how they'll approach it in terms of personnel and forward line tactics. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
