Since the other thread has been locked, I started a new one.

Quote:
Collingwood superstar Jordan De Goey has returned home to Melbourne after a whirlwind trip to see the world’s leading hamstring specialist in Germany.

De Goey spent about five days in Munich to see soft-tissue guru Dr Hans-Wilhelm Muller Wohlfahrt for assistance on his recurring hamstring woes.

The full report from his time with “Healing Hans” will be handed to Collingwood’s club doctors over the next 24 hours as they work out the next step in his recovery.

Save him for the GF.
We'll smoke the West sydney mob, give him that extra week. Cool

The club has been playing down the chance of his playing again this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he manages to play this Sat Smile

The 7 reporter must have been given the wrong flight details and she's still in Germany.

To be fair, she's got some back muscle soreness and is standing outside singing.

FFS peoples, he's only an outside chance to play in the Grannie.

He's already been declared unavailable for the Prelim, so let's not start making shit up. Rolling Eyes

I’ve thought all along he is a better chance for the GF (if we make it) than anyone is suggesting. Certainly better than a Hail Mary. Maybe an Our Father.

I’m staggered that the ‘Official’ De Goey thread saw such a quick demise...

Given we don't actually, specifically know to what degree he was injured in the first place, it's not out of the realms of human possibility that he does a Moore and returns. That calf's blood stuff has got guys with actual tears playing 3 weeks later, it wouldn't surprise me if he had only a minor grade 1 tear and was passed fit to play.

Exactly. I reckon if he trains and ticks every box between now and GF he plays. If not, then Wells (if he’s considered fit). Vs the Tigers we need some X-factor. One or the other. Worth the risk in a game we’d clearly be the underdog in.

That’s IF we make it of course and IF Richmond do.

JDG The extent of seriousness of the injury and the briefness of the trip could mean it was borderline minor injury and more precaution than actual
repair

Club knows -we don’t
