looks like everyone knew were we were at. We probably would have said ok to a fourth round pick from 2029 if it was offered.

Tom Phillips got injured this year, but with the right coaching he could have been anything. The fittest player on our roster.
This might be the moment our club grows a set of balls and gets rid of the management and coaching deadwood. They have crippled our club for the next decade. |

I think that’s the problem, we simply couldn’t.
This isn’t about the quality of the players, it’s purely about the saving on the books. |

If you quote what King actually said, he’s questioning Stephenson
Speaking on Fox Footy’s Trading Day, North Melbourne champion David King said the comments from Stephenson so soon after his departure were “disrespectful”, but that if they were accurate the Pies had to ask themselves some serious questions.
“It is strange that that information (not opening up to the group enough) would get to Jaidyn at that point of the season,” King said.
“If he isn’t opening up to the group what hope have you got in October? That’s a conversation for Round 6 ... they’re updates you get along the way, especially at this age. He’s got all the tools. I’m staggered if Nathan has decided to give him this information as he’s walking out the door.” |

| this is basically a delisting, except we couldn't do that because he is under contract, so Hawthorn has taken on his salary, i presume, and the pick in the 60s is only there because there needs to be something 'traded'. |

Reports are we are paying Phillips entire salary at Hawthorn next year, because it is not counted in the salary cap.
This year must go down as the single worst management exercise by an AFL club in history.
The morale at Collingwood is so bad I'm tipping bottom four next year. Why wait? Sack Buckley NOW. |

I am not necessarily devastated at losing Phillips but he is worth more than a fourth round pick.
