With the recent appointment of Scott Pendlebury as captain for a ninth consecutive season, the Collingwood board ratified the appointments of a further three leaders last night.

Taylor Adams, Jeremy Howe and Darcy Moore will support Pendlebury as vice-captains.

This will be Adams’ seventh season in the leadership group, whilst Howe prepares for his fifth.

Interesting the vote numbers!!

They are compiled in two groups—players and staff
Pendles 614 players. 762 staff
Moore 441 “. “. 545”. “
Adams 423”. “. 444 “. “
Howe 390”. “. 448 “. “

Mc Rae explains the concept of leadership “Leadership group only as good as those who follow them”

Apologies.
This needs an edit.

Moore replaces Sidebottom, who probably should have gone after his 'wrong door' indiscretion

Only VCs in the LG now, so no more Grundy or Roughead

One leader too many. I preferred the old school way of: Captain, Vice Captain & Deputy Vice Captain. Leadership group sounds to corporate and wanky to me.

Considering our new VCs missed 31 games between them in 2021, I don't have any problem with there being 3 of them

If you take the respective votes for Pendles as 100%, then Moore received 72% of the captain's votes from both players and staff, which is a pretty solid endorsement

Adams got 69% from the players and 58% from the staff Howe 64% and 59%

Seems like there were more nominations from the players than staff, judging by the totals

It must be noted that although Moore is a future captain candidate

Pendles alledged to have said he hopes that elevation to leader will help keep him at the club

Don’t think he’s finished contract negotiations

Yes, sounds like he could be weighing up his future and so if he did leave, Adams would be the heir apparent. And with Pendles saying we hope he stays a bit longer, you think he may go elsehwhere down the track even if he stays for a couple more years.
