It's staggeringly sad seeing the decline of Brodie v. Max over the last 2 years. Brodies year last year was better than given credit for, but the disparity between him and Max has never been so vast.

Yes. One of them keeps evolving to stay on top of he’s game the other has no idea and is plainly unco.

No effective kicks,, no marks, no tackles Friday night. His worst game for the club ever.

Grundy was just ahead of Gawn in 2019.

Grundy needs to spend the next preseason training with the forward group IMO as any improvement in his ruck work will be small and incremental now whereas if he can develop his forward craft and be trained to improve his contested marking ability over the summer it'll greatly add to his value as a player in 2023.

Let’s hope it has nothing to do with not wanting to win premierships and using the game and club as a income only.

Gawn is the best ruckman in the competition by that far it isn't funny.

9 marks in 5 games.

English leads all rucks with 35 marks

I’m not sure you can still call it a coincidence he signed his lifelong contract after the 2019 season and has played shit ever since.

He might have lost his edge and consistency, but the problem is you lose someone with his credentials and the change of environment sees them back to their best at another club and you regret it anyhow. His contract length was silly, but the club was hardly a beacon of sense and sensibility back then.

Give the current coach a crack at getting him up and running to his full potential. It won't make a difference either way for a while, and if he comes good by next season the timing will be perfect and all will be forgiven.

There's no point stamping our feet and rubbing the bloke's nose in it when we've got a new coach and the best outcome is the player rediscovering his edge.

There is no such thing as a footy player that doesn’t want to win a flag. At any level

The younger generations are different. Wouldn't surprise me at all if this was the case.
