Gardner got off with a fine. Ffs. All the commentators agreed it’s not part of our game anymore, not a good look.
Oh and Cox charged with kneeing to rub it in.

| I find that unbelievable, I could not understand at the time that the commentators were suggesting only a week.No eyes for the ball, no attempt to spoil, just trying to hurt an unprotected player - could have done a lot of damage |

Unfuckingbelievable. MRO is corrupt, end of story. Maynard got two weeks for a clumsy spoil, Gardner lined a first year player up and could have done serious damage. Just because Daicos wasn’t seriously injured doesn’t give Gardner a pass ffs.
As for Cox, he was bloody pushed by a Lions player! |

Josh isn’t a first year player but that’s beside the point
I saw it at the ground looked bad
I watched replay today it looks worse
He took 2 full steps after Josh had the ball and was coming down from marking and had time to square his shoulder to give him hardest hit possible
It was easy as reckless as Maynard previously
Cox was pushed and his knee was on way down or he would have hit him in the head with it
Listening to the commentary they also were saying about Gardner nothing in that just a fraction late they all make me sick |

Cox in a marking contest gets the same as a guy not in a contest and decides to deliberately hit a player who takes a mark. Duty of care by the Lions player was zero. Maynard copped extra for duty of care.
It stinks.

Yeah I kept mixing up Nick and Josh, old age is catching up to me. Even their old man does sometimes 😂. Totally agree mate, MRO is a farce, wonder what JDG would have got if he’d done what Gardner did. |

This sends precedence to other clubs/players who want to deliberately hurt our players. It’s what Gardners intentions were so someone else will line up one of ours again just like in the first round with an of the ball whack to Cox. The game is so corrupt and adjudicated with an agenda it’s basically unwatchable.

| It’s been this way since at least the Brisbane-Fitzroy merge, Simon. AFL doesn’t even bother hiding the leg up they’re giving Brisbane to make the GF, it’s all about $$$ in a state where AFL is stagnating and GC is a waste of space. |
