Just announced on ch 10 that Peter Matera is set to announce his retirement.
Though he has caused us plenty of headaches, I can appreciate the work of a true champ of our great game.

So how does this effect Wet Toast's salary cap? Is his payments included in this year's cap?

I'd say Matera would be on the Veteran's list, so only half of his wages would be included in the cap. I don't think it's a big deal, but they'd have to pay out his contract, so whatever he's signed up for, half of it WOULD be included.
