Thanks for the link, wpt. Very much enjoyed this. The album from which it is taken gets released on 1 October 2012, apparently. I am looking forward to hearing that.watt price tully wrote:Had a torrid week at work (2 days off now) so took the opportunity to lie in this morning. Had Radio National on & towards 8.30 this morning they played a song called Magpie by Beth Orton: Folk style, a unique voice & I liked it:

My dad's vinyl collection. Not right now (I'm at work!), but a fair bit over the past fortnight. Pink Floyd, The Incredible String Band, Moody Blues, Dylan, Bowie, Francoise Hardy, Jethro Tull, Neil Young, Beatles, Strolling Bones, Flock of Seagulls, OMD, Wagner, Greig, the soundtrack to 2001, Lawrence of Arabia... there's just an incredible array of stuff, a lot of which I've never even heard of. The other day my girlfriend pulled out an unopened record from 1974 featuring medieval instruments and old compositions from the era. I'm in heaven!

Listened to the Wedding March this afternoon as I escorted my lovely daughter down the aisle. Might I say that she is a devoted Collingwood member. It was music to my ears. A great day and she wed a very nice young man who is now my son in law. Unfortunately a Swans supporter - but you cannot have everything.
He is a lucky man as she is a real stunner.

This CD has been a regular companion this year. Some gorgeous music making.
