Re: Yes
Hmmm we will see,Steve86 wrote:meh think your wrong. We could beat em this year if we get far enough. Unlucky tonight and played ordinary and were close most the game.. Agreed game plan doesn't suit there style we need someone behind these packs.. but we arn't so far off that we can't win. See what happens we are a maturing team.Museman wrote:No steve,Steve86 wrote: or the boys were tired from 2 pretty hard weeks of a 6 day break, had some shit disposal and unlucky calls and on another day could have been pretty even? NAH we have a shit game plan... Geezus you lot sometimes.
We have a GP that doesn't match up well v Hawthorn, if you haven't realized this by now maybe nothing short of a hammer and chisel is gonna get it in there, we developed a game plan to defeat geelong...they developed/tweaked to do the same to us 2011.
The Buckley strategy v Hawthorn seems to be why change it.... a 6 goal+ loss is good enough....
Though I guess we already have after the last 5 outings ay?
Same shit different day...same result, same complaints about GP, umpiring, just not quite hanging in there long enough...yada yada....
Sounding familiar?
Bux lost me tonight, I am honestly stunned at how DUMB he appears to be.

You can't criticize BROWN for not doing something he has NEVER done.
Apply that argument to any other player on the field.
Can we not criticize Cloke for not kicking straight? He never has
Can we not criticize Sinkers /Williams for their lack of disposal finesse? They have never been good kicks.
The real difference between Sinker/Williams and Brown is that Brown is a top 10 draft pick up.
Yes, I expect more than a bloody stopper

Disappointing but we just lacked the polish tonight when it mattered most.
We must try and draft some taller bigger bodied midfielders/flankers who either possess silky skills and/or play the game with a streak of venom.
Tonight our midget brigade was somewhat exposed.

Both your examples relate to skills EXPECTED in these players - ie critical skills, and they probably have KPI's accordingly.
Buck does not EXPECT Brown to be a rebounding defender and I doubt he has KPI's in this regard, in the same way he doesn't have KPI's for clearances.
I think that's the difference

I hear what your saying, but how does the same argument hold up when you look at your Harry Taylors or other top ranked back men? Lets face it, we didn't have to spend a top 10 draft pick and 7 years of development to produce a 2nd forward stopper. He could be better. You feel otherwise, no worries, lets leave it there

If we had 2 Browns tonight (to simplify the argument to the current gutter level it seems to be in) Buddy would've kicked one, we would've had 3 extra clearances from forward 50 and possibly 3 more goals and won by a point.
Every team needs stoppers, and Brown does it very well IMO on most nights.
Most teams don't have two gun talls, two talls yes but not two guns. Let Brown stop Reiwoldt and Keefe run off Kosi, let Brown stop Hurley and Keefe run off Hille, let Brown stop Roughead and Keefe...
Brown does his role well. If everyone did that tonight we'd have won.

Buddy will piss off to GWS anyway, chasing his millions, so that will **** up those ****, colours of shit and pee, dawks and their insufferable dickhead fans, once and for all. That is when we will start beating them again, nothing lasts forever, as the dawks will learn the hard way eventually.!
