"strong-marking half-forward Jordan De Goey has been linked to Collingwood's pick No.5."

Thoughts on this selection?

I'd imagine they'd be eyeing about 10 players so not surprising, most guestimations have him at 6+ in that group though.

Not quite getting the connection with this thread, but you don't really need an excuse for posting Seinfeld. Such a great show, still as funny and insightful as it ever was.

Well done. the horse I backed in the cup dropped dead and is probably currently being converted to horse sushi.

Can't see us going for this guy at 5. Others just seem more impressive. & I doubt the club would be feeding people genuine thoughts on who they want. ThInk hine and co would be playing it v close to their chests...

It's an interesting one. On the face of it you would say Laverde > De Goey. However what the highlight reels don't should is the clangers, the 1%ers and the other little things that go mostly un-noticed. I don't see any u18 footy where I live so others are more educated than me. I'd prefer Wright before a midfielder anyway as you don't get a chance too often to get these guys - particularly one touted as good as he. You can pick up midfielders any draft.

I think DeGoey has been linked to the Giants at pick 4 so there may be some chance we get Laverde post DeGoey going.
I gather the rationale is that DeGoey is more inside and therefore of interest to them.

According to all the scribes killed them in the VFL tonite.
Played as a inside mid and smashed them.
After Friday nights mid field thrashing he needs to come
in as a starting not sub player.
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

The "get De Goey into the seniors now!" Thread

Post by melliot »

Honestly. Armstrong?

After tonight's VFL game where DeGoey smashed down the door. We are wasting his talent in the VFL and not accelerating his development enough there. Needs to get a string of games at afl level.

Trusting Magpiebat will be an ally here.
