Manteit has forged his early reputation by doing the little things coaches love. While the medium-sized defender reads the ball well and can drop off his man to influence contests, his desire to do the team things - chasing, tackling and spoiling - make him a favourite of teammates and the coaching staff. Has played predominantly at half-back where he can use his good kicking skills to set-up attacking forays from defence.
Going by the footage, looks to have real awareness and composure.
Welcome to the fold Michael!

Coming from the Sandringham Dragons he'd be a teammate of Goodyear's wouldn't he? I think it's great when a couple of young teammates get drafted together.

The music on that video was annoying, and why don't we get to see the defender defending? It all seemed to be rebound stuff (which is fine and all, but I'd like to see how he handled the ball coming in too).
Sounds like a Nick Maxwell replacement from the bio.
