Seems Kenno officially wants out. Promisingly a second round pick is mentioned. Would be a very good outcome:

Kennedy has met with Melbourne's recruiting team and told coach Nathan Buckley that he wants to be traded to the club. How both teams make that happen is the next bit, with some speculation today Collingwood might be satisfied with Melbourne's second-round pick.
Well done boys!

I read in an article that they were considering it, the Age I think. I was surprised as well, but if you think about it, pick 4 was their only opportunity to get him. BK was always going in the top 20 and Melbourne didn't have another pick in there.swoop42 wrote:Melbourne liked Kennedy but were never considering drafting him at 4.
It could just be Melbourne trying to rewrite history to entice him to the club, but that doesn't bother me. I'm only interested in getting fair compensation for our player.
The straight swap for Howe now looks like a strong possibility and that'd do me nicely.

Howe looking more likely to be a Pie (offers lodged by GC and NM but he's not jumped at them). Kennedy could be involved.Pies4shaw wrote:The AFL site is suggesting that the Melsham deal might be that Essendon gets pick 25 from Melbourne. Where does that leave us with BenKen?
Very unlikely Kennedy will remain a Pie now. I'd say virtually zero. We've been good about moving players on who don't want to be here and he doesn't have an obvious spot in the team.

Elliott is 10x the footballer of Howe.Cam wrote:Howe will be our Gunston and kick more goals than Billy did to win our goalkicking this year. Mark it down. If he is traded to us of course lol
Which is why we can't waste more of our salary cap on B Graders.
Does anyone here actually watch any football?
You can have a case of Chivas on it that Howe doesn't kick >35 goals next year.
I don't care if Hawthorn recruit him and have him one out in the forward line.
