Hopefully we learn from this and become a better side.
I don't mind the draw. I don't mind losing the odd game or two. What I do mind is some of the drivel we dished up to the supporters this season. The Port Adelaide game, the St Kilda game, the Carlton game and the Essendon game. That was drivel. Today was a great effort by the team which we almost pulled off. Sadly not to be but we should all be proud of the team.

Personally, i am really proud of the pies. They are fighting their arses off. They are not far off. I love these guys.
surely everyone was proud of that effort?
I thought it was shocking
We have dumb footballers incapable of closing out close games
Just like in 2015
Just like in 2016
Just like now...
So. Sick. And tired of this mediocrity...
It never changes
We just got nutted at the clearances...

Any supporter that is satisfied with a draw after a mark at the death and a goal after the siren, and after we were up by 50 points at home truly is <snip, no, don't try getting around the filter like that, just don't - the mods> This is embarrassing. Buckley has no plan B. None. He's not a good coach.

Sure I'm disappointed we didn't win in the end, but I will take a draw any day over a loss, against the undisputed top team, and Flag favourites. For chrissakes, the hate and venom being thrown around here is beyond belief, to players and coach. God only knows how these tryhards would be had we lost it by one point. !! Adelaide are on top for a reason, we are nowhere near top, yet we drew a game we could have won, I most certainly would have taken a draw against the top team, pre game, nearly every tipster tipped against us. Take it and move on.

Yeah I have no idea about footy And all that stuff is the coaches faultRaw Hammer wrote:You have ZERO idea about football. To allow 7 goals straight from 11 inside 50s, all from end to end coast to coast efforts with no pressure on the ball carrier, in 12 minutes? Learn a thing or or two, buddy. This is the most poorly coached team I have ever seen. Effort and class (Wells, Grundy, Elliott, Treloar, Moore) can only take us so far. When you have 12+ players running around making stupid decisions, w Pugh to blow a 50 (yes...50!!!) point lead, the coach must go...immediately. He gets NO favours. 6 years of end to end uncontested goals is beyond a joke. No leadership (Goldsack and Howe not punching) underscores all that is wrong with this squad.Damien wrote:Very proud of our effort today against the best in the AFL. Yes 50 points up, and looked like we had it again late in the last qtr.
You keyboard warriors hanging on individual players and the coach should hang your heads in shame. Nobody likes a draw but I am damn proud of every player today. They were all warriors. Great game of footy. The future is bright and I hope Nathan Buckley is coaching us next year.

Jo, seriously. He is the LAST player you'd want with the ball in his hands at the death. Was he taken high? Perhaps? Still needed to farm the ball off sooner.think positive wrote:Gees really? So many cheap shot heroes,
A good side came back hard. We looked tuckered. U want to blame Blair? He got hit Round the neck by two different players within 5 sec, no free, he kicked 2 great goals, who hit the post? But yeah blame Blair. Stupid posting.
One of the most exciting games I've been to this year and we didn't lose. Cheers enjoy your rants
Maggots rogered us in the 2nd half; and not for the first time this season.

Didn't say we were satisfied. Said we were proud of the effort they put in. Yes they were 50 points up but that was on the back of terrific play and coaching. Sure they ran out of petrol, but even in the last, against that huge Adelaide momentum they dug deep again.Sensei Grundy wrote:Any supporter that is satisfied with a draw after a mark at the death and a goal after the siren, and after we were up by 50 points at home truly is a fu..tard! Not satisfied with a draw, just love the fight, the promise they displayed against the top of the ladder team.

It is you that clearly don't watch much footy or know what your talking about. Adelaide are top of the ladder for a reason and have opened up just about every other team in the comp this year. Their average winning margin is 60 points. Yes they opened us up but we did likewise to them. We will improve our list this next trade period and be better for it next year.

People forget that our last premiership was only 2010 and rebuilds take some time. 2018 we play finals again.
