Is it fair to presume that the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party will be forming a coalition government with the more left-wing Podemos? If so, that seems like a pretty good result.

After the coronation we find out who won the General election. By that I mean which generals got "elected" and those that missed out will be appointed anyway. They have kept there currency so artificially high that even the USA has told them to do something about it. Retired expats are leaving in droves,property can not be sold and the household debt is massive. But as long as they get their submarines , which are strategically irrelevant and the elite military get their kickbacks it is all good.

More than a quarter of those relate to rape, murder or attempted murder, according to a report by the civic group Association of Democratic Reforms.

The loophole that allows them to take office is that they have not been convicted - in part because the Indian legal system has a huge backlog of an estimated 30 million cases and trials often last decades. When asked about the charges against them, they invariably accuse a political rival of framing them.

Since such rivalries often lead to false accusations, the main political parties say it would be unfair to bar people from contesting elections unless they have been convicted by court."

No election, but Italy's governing coalition has just broken up, meaning that the country has switched from being run by a right-populist grouping of parties to a centre-left one.

Wrong David, it was a populist coalition of left and right. It's now an establishment leftist one. Italy is a political basket case and always has been. This government was a desperate attempt by left wing parties to avoid an election, not usually anything but a short term band aid that leads to greater losses later. It's Italy though so who the he'll knows

Looks like secular Nationalists hold the balance of power and could go either way. Could end up with a weird situation like NZ where a Nationalist party sides with the centrists (Left in NZ, the left in Israel though is DOA).

Lots of weird issues and personalities at play though. Could even be another election in a couple of months too

It’s gunna be whoever can cobble together a coalition. There are lots of small religious nutter parties who get too many seats and wield far too much power disproportionate to their actual numbers

About time that virtue signalling twat got a dose of his own medicine. With a federal election in a month, the Liberals on the nose and Trudeau with lower approval than Trump I'd say Canada is about to be the next Western country to swing to the Right after an overreaching progressive screwed things up.
