Thanks for clarifying P4S, did think it odd.
You’d hope he makes some runs against Pakistan tomorrow. (See what I did there

Just the one unbeaten 150 for Warner today, then. There’s a reasonable chance he’ll make more runs than Pakistan did.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-11-22/ ... n/11731328

The last time Warner batted against Pakistan, he carved a hundred before lunch on the opening morning at the SCG in 2017, joining a select list to have achieved the feat. This time around his effort could not have been more different.

He was careful throughout the morning, circumspect outside off stump. He gathered runs rather than demanding them. His first pull shot didn't come for more than an hour. His off-side runs were steers. Only the clearly short and wide balls were cut, only the fullest were driven.

Even through the second session, as the right-arm Imran Khan bowled a wide over-the-wicket line right across Warner, the batsman just waited. When Naseem Shah bowled short and fast, he swayed and smiled and offered the odd compliment.

Then suddenly there was Warner skipping down to the leg spin of Yasir, driving against the turn through cover, or Warner on 80 driving Imran through extra cover with the fullest stride and most perfect crack of contact.
....
By stumps Warner was 21 deliveries away from playing the longest innings of his career. If you wanted evidence of change, it's hard to go past that.

If only we could trade each of those centuries for even a 30 or 40 in the past Ashes.

I'll comment after the series against NZ. You can't really hang your hat on centuries against this mob. I reckon even Donny could get 100 against them

Just the 204* for Warner, so far in the Second Test. Series average presently 358. Has he done enough or does he need to carry the bat?

Warner’s average against NZ in Australia isn’t quite so good - it’s just 93.12, at the moment.

Well, it's as much the conditions as the opponent. If the ball doesn't move for anyone, he'll be fine. If it swings and seams, they'll all be in trouble.

Warner passes Bradman’s 299* here. He’s just become the only player ever to make 300 in a Test at the Adelaide Oval.

Who would believe Warner scored 300 WITHOUT a single sixer ? :)
Donny.

It's a game. Enjoy it. :D
