In that age group....one of them was 7.
Sunday before Christmas I did a family shoot for a friends sister, she made it through Christmas/ new year, she passed away this morning at 3am, she was 66.
The job thing is annoying, buts it’s not life and death. A door closes, another opens, maybe it’s for a reason.
RIP sweet lady, that day was inspiring and humbling. It was an honour. Cheers

Where did you see that?eddiesmith wrote:Good news Stui, if you are a resident of Tocumwal you can freely travel anywhere in Victoria without quarantine. Of course if you’re a Victorian visiting Toc then you have to quarantine on return, if they let you back in.
You just can’t make this shit up!
My licence has my Toc address on it now, but this mob change their minds daily so I'm not inclined to trust anything.
there's still thousands of poor buggers trapped in NSW who were no where near virus outbreaks but aren't allowed to go home.
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

From the border mail
“Victoria's deputy chief health officer Clare Looker listed regulations for cross border travel in an order signed on Sunday and now on the Department of Health and Human Services website.
In reference to "cross border community members", Dr Looker states they may enter Victoria without a border permit and if they have not been in a NSW COVID hotspot, been in the Blue Mountains or Wollongong or outside the border bubble since December 31.
That means southern Riverina residents need to show their driver's licence to be allowed through border checkpoints for travel to Melbourne for whatever purpose.”
Yeah it’s crazy that NSW residents have more freedom travelling in Victoria than Victorians

As usual you continue to spout bullshit. Politicians don’t give themselves pay rises. There’s an independent panel who are not politicians who determine that. If you get something as basic as that fact wrong then no wonder you get so much else wrong.eddiesmith wrote:Yeah like a premier who $%$ed up, forced millions to be locked up at home and onto job keeper and seeker and then gave himself a $45,000 pay rise to celebrate his fine achievements. First he told us that the wearing of masks was a conspiracy between Daniel Andrews and the Chinese Government
Then he tells us he knows more than the experts do regarding the wearing of masks.
He even falsely & continually asserts that others say that the wearing of masks is the only tactic in stopping the spread: a deliberate straw man argument
There’s no point in arguing with a person who continually declares their foolishness and has such an obvious chip on their shoulder.
one thing this virus really highlights, just who is a self centred bugger that doesnt care about the welfare of others.
Alister Clarkson and the shark came out over Christmas and described just what its like to suffer from the virus, good reading for those who think its just the flu. you know, aside form the people that died from it!
Who has told you to suck it up when you missed out on applying for jobs? Who on nicks?
Another baseless claim.

Only I person tested positive. This is not (yet) related to the Sydney virus. 2 overseas positives in hotels currently and a whopping (over) 37,000 tested. Well done to those people who are getting tested (and to the testers)
This virus is so pernicious.
Check the location for potential spread which now includes the MCG through the government website. Also Chadstone for Boxing Day and the MCG in zone 5 on 27 December.
Interestingly, Victoria is the only state to test pilots and flight crews & enforce quarantine. I think 8 of that population have tested positive

Yet politicians happily vote to accept ridiculous pay rises and even when a global pandemic hits after the ‘independent’ authority suggested it, the Victorian politicians don’t decide it’d be better for the state to put it off for a year or two, definitely not!
Other jurisdictions suspended their pay rises, but not Dan. That’s how he was able to tell everyone he understands how frustrating it was being locked up
And out of work whilst he got to go out every day and got a pay rise that was more than most Victorians annual salary in 2020!
Oh and the comments were made multiple times in here not in relation to that but anytime anyone complained about Victoria’s ridiculous restrictions.

I should obviously have added "and they had an outbreak of COVID". NSW has not yet had anything more (this time) than a few isolated cases. I had in mind places like the US, the UK, Belgium, Italy, Czechia, Peru, Spain, Brazil, Hungary, France etc etc.
That, of course, is part of the problem with the way you view all of this. It hasn't yet got really out of control anywhere in Australia (even in Victoria, it was never really established in the wider community - thanks to the lockdown) but in places where it has got out of control, it has appeared to be more or less unstoppable.

But that’s the problem, anyone defending Victoria always goes to overseas examples, you never want to compare Victoria with other states in Australia. Why is that? Oh that’s right, none of them needed stage 4 lockdowns, curfews and mandatory statewide mask rules to contain their outbreaks.
You’re right, NSW haven’t had a major outbreak in this lot of cases and yet the comments from down south have been nothing but condemnation for them not resorting to the same draconian measures Victoria did!

In the latest round of Victorian government incompetence and not having a clue what’s going on we present border bubble confusion
“ Border bubble confusion continued on Tuesday when a Thurgoona woman was left heartbroken after she was refused entry into Victoria to attend her uncle's funeral.
Despite getting confirmation from both her state and federal MP and reading in The Border Mail that the Victorian government had confirmed NSW border residents could visit all of Victoria, Micaela Collins was told to not enter the state on Tuesday morning to attend the funeral in Melbourne, leaving the 26-year-old "devastated"
....
Mr Wilson reaffirmed that those in NSW inhabitants within the border bubble, who had not been north, were free to enter Victoria.“
But the good news is the Covid commander Jerome says the rules are crystal clear, everyone understands what they are however he was unable to say who was right in that scenario...

Nah, keep it tight, IMO. We obviously aren't equipped to deal with an outbreak so we need to keep the border closed hard.
I feel some pity for those that may miss a funeral or are missing their parents or whatever, but not enough to risk another lockdown.
I'm still shitty that the tennis is set to go ahead as I think that will be the cause of another six months of misery.
