This is revisionist bs. 2012 we lost a prelim to eventual premiers days after the loss of JMac. 2013 made the finals. 2014-2017 was a rebuild period during which time we also sustained probably the worst run of injuries I’ve ever experienced as a supporter. 2018 - despite another wretched run with injuries we were 2 mins and an appalling umpire decision from the flag. 2019 prelim loss by a straight kick. 2020 semis.

This is not the record of someone who cannot coach. It’s fu$king hard to win a flag in a equalised system.
Your account of the history leaves so much out that it becomes what you accused me of: spouting revisionist bs.
I won't argue with you further. You clearly read history in a different manner to me. The truth will become more apparent as time goes on, I guess.
Agree with you MTTM, remember Nathan even admitted we were on 'autopilot' in 2012, and a slightly modified 'autopilot' in 2013 (and that EF was a disgrace... look at the last quarter highlights of Bucks in the box to see he has no idea what he's doing...). 2018 was an aberration and mostly due to Longmuir's influence.

And obviously the statement of 'It’s fu$king hard to win a flag in a equalised system' is totally null and void due to Hawthorn's three peat and Dickmonds three out of four.... and just in the last 10 years, I mean sure equalization plays some factor but obviously if you got a good coach who knows what he's doing with the right system around him... your statement has nowhere to hide.

Why is everyone talking that Clarko is the next coach as "fait accompli"?

I'm expecting Brad Scott to be our coach next year.

Don't be sad, he'll fit right in. You'll love him because he'll wear his heart on his sleeve and we'll finally see some passion. Leader of men, surround him with the right intel and we're laughing.

For all our fears of ending last and collecting the wooden spoon,
beating Wet Toast we are now 14th on the ladder.

The Grundy and Sidey bashers should just STFU now, enough of their bile, I knew in time both of them would come good, and kudos too to Thomas and WHE, they have both lifted a lot lately, did some very nice things in recent games.

The key thing we can't forget is that hitouts are the league's most useless statistic.

Well,we’re one of two clubs that can get him,Carlton being the other. So you would think that we would have a 50% chance at least.

Having just finished watching a replay of the game now and the most pleasing thing of all is how well our less established stars played yesterday such as Ruscoe, Quaynor, McCrae, Noble, Henry and even Ginnivan, yet none of them would have come into calculation of who our five best players were, because the stalwarts at the club such as Sidey, De Goey, Grundy, Crisp, Howe and Maynard really stood up for us when it counted. The lesson is that when every player in the team contributes this way we're capable of beating any team in the competition. Whether we can repeat the dose next week against Hawthorn is another question. We're a very young side now and we're going to have flat periods in our rise back up the ladder. Harvey is doing an outstanding job with the team. We use the corridor more now, playing a more direct style of football and take more risks which produces more goals.
