Carlton undoubtedly already had this game circled in their calendar after what we did to them last year. Now it’s doubly so, given that their season is falling apart and the spotlight’s on them.
I watched bits of their games from the last two weeks, against Brisbane and the Bulldogs. In each they started slowly, but once they got a run on in the second half looked pretty unstoppable, only falling short at the final hurdle (similar to our dominant last quarters against Adelaide and Essendon but just not quite getting it done). I wouldn’t expect anything less than a tough, close match.

Please destroy them and plunge them further into crisis.
Also want us to consolidate our positive H2H record against them.

God I hope you are wrong. A nice easy spanking would be great.David wrote:Carlton undoubtedly already had this game circled in their calendar after what we did to them last year. Now it’s doubly so, given that their season is falling apart and the spotlight’s on them.

My only wish I want to see come true from this game is Carltoon supporters leaving en masse towards the stand races by the end of the 3rd quarter.
If so, I suspect I'll be happy with everything else.
Carltoon are a rabble atm, may it long continue.

I feel sorry for Carltonne, NOT
They are about to suffer immensely at the hands of the archrival Collingwood.
Carlton? Such a group of nice men, such a nice coach.
You're supposed to terrorise the competition, especially us. But instead? We got 'ya.
No way you're gonna win. What you have a Twin Tower to beat us? more like Towering Inferno, lol.

Yes, sold out. I went online last week, to have a look, just prior to them selling out. We do have memberships but wanted to bring along a few new family members to the game.Magpiefan3 wrote:Massive game.
Please Collingwood just win!
Carlton will lift though.
I think I heard it's sold out too.
The combine price of three public tickets were $495 Couldn't bring myself to purchase those and give the Carlton Football Club that revenue.

Nothing could beat R23 last year, but another loss would not put them out mathematically, but it would injure their spirit and cause much angst in their supporter base.LaurieHolden wrote:My only wish I want to see come true from this game is Carlton supporters leaving en masse towards the end of the 3rd quarter.

Hard not to always hark back to what are the dark ages, and know that Carlton were able to upset us when we would be expected to win!

Carlton has Cripps, Cerra and Walsh in the midfield. Last week after half time, they changed their careful plodding game to chaos and speed, and kicked 6 goals in a row. Then they seemed to run out of gas. They have good players but are probably poorly coached. If they click against us, even if for half a game, they could be dangerous. Frampton would probably have taken McKay. He'll be missed.
