I would honestly say that at this stage the Gawn/Grundy combo are better.
You might even think differently after tonight. Gawn and Grundy have both been horrible up to half time

Bit of weather around this weekend. We are the no 1 team scoring from stoppage, that will hold us in good stead in the wet.

Sooooo, the Deeeeeeees lost, great, win this and we go two games clear of the pricks on top of the ladder. Incentive is huge now.

Round 10 is a battle between former team mates Michael Voss vs. Craig McRae.
I enjoyed this synopsis from an emotional Carlton fan of the Collingwood team and McRae's coaching.
He says a Blues upset win but he doesn't really believe it. His own analysis and mood suggest strongly against it.

Yeah you right. I admit to being surprised at how little they did. If Cox and Cameron click tomorrow, they might get in front as the most valuable

I think this match is less about Collingwood, more about Carlton...what will they bring?

Which Carlton Rocks up...none at all? 2 quaters, or 4 quaters?

Given the hell they have been given by the media the first is very unlikely...do they come to play for two or four quaters? ...we should actually welcome either.

They challenge us for half or all the game..the Pies need it given, the side needs to be kept sharp and focused. Too many easy wins breed bad habits.

I remember a few years ago when Grundy was carving up T English
from the Dogs I said I would trade Grundy for English in a heartbeat
Pies4Shaw laughed at me.
Well English is way ahead of Grundy in the rankings now.
Grundy is cooked and English is rising.

Grundy got 12 possessions and 2 marks.

He was better the previous week, but he looks a lot like a good ordinary footballer lately.

In fairness P4S would have said no to Martin, Petracca and Bont for Grundy.

^ On the other hand, I have NO doubt that if Jeremy Cameron played for us, now, we would bolt the Premiership in, no doubt at all. Checkers is good, but he aint no Cameron, but it is what it is,hey.

Anyone who thinks English is a good ruckman deserves to be laughed at - the guy is a spud. I presume you didn't watch Grundy and Gawn take him to the cleaners to win the game between them earlier in the year - if you had, you couldn't post such drivel.

English is ranked 45th in the AFL for hitout win percentage - that's right: he gets beaten at about two-thirds of the ruck contests he attends.

As I said yesterday afternoon, they will both play tomorrow. Players missing training sometimes means the club is resting them, not due to any injuries.
