Double Standards for Twitter

Post by Dave The Man »

I got banned for maybe Swearing at Worst from Twitter but there are accounts used for Porn/Raciscim/Bullying and they don't get Banned.

Why even bother using Twitter with the Double Standards

My Account was Private so people who did not like it could just Unfollowed instead of just Sook to Twitter

Sorry to hear it Dave, you're right Twitter is a free for all, there's porn and swearing everywhere. Mods don't look for stuff, someone who follows you must have reported you.

I agree Dave, it's the same as people sooking about a TV show. If you don't like it, change channels.

Yep, sounds like amateur hour over there. I guess that’s what happens when you slash your workforce, prioritise ideology over functionality and chop and change things at the drop of a hat.

I've jumped off Twitter due to the latest craziness. How do you make a 15 Billion dollar company? Sell Musk a 44 Billion dollar one. I noticed Meta threads started and over 90 Million have joined. I won't jump into that as they want you to have an Instagram account and I am not going back into Meta re Face Ache for anything. Waiting on Blue Sky Social to see what transpires there and in saying that I may go back to being on Forums. Are we facing a new age of social media?

Yeah, I’m giving Threads a wide berth for now. The idea of one company having a social media monopoly doesn’t sit particularly well with me.

I'm having a look at Threads, but I don't really get it. It looks like just a different way of doing Insta. :?

It's not Twitter, the best feature of Twitter IMHO is being able to search hashtags and see tweets from people you never would have thought to follow.

Hi Dave. Sorry to hear that you were upset by the a**holes who control Twitter, and a**hole in chief Elon Musk. This is why such a powerful social medium as Twitter should not be under private ownership, but should be controlled democratically by the entire population. Glad to hear that you are back on.
