Just a reminder to the jellybacks in our midst: Bontempelli is 28 years old at absolute peak physical development and footballing maturity, and was surrounded by a dominant mid/ruck combination. Nick Daicos is 21 years old, and is already dominating clearances and winning games.

If you think the Dogs including Bontempelli would've got those midfield stats with just Pendles alone back, you're dreaming. And Pendles and Jordy together would've freed Nick, Crispy and Josh to damage them far more the other way, making them much more accountable. And that's before we even consider our makeshift forward line.

It's incredibly soft to talk down a team, especially your own team, when it clearly put everything into maintaining the rage against the odds. I think we know who needs to harden up a bit, and it's not the players who represented the club gallantly once more.

Spot on.I just fiind it curious that supporters are so reluctant to mention injuries as a reason for losing the game, when it was clearly the most important reason why we lost. The other main reason was the terrible goal kicking in the first quarter when we kicked 5 goals 7,many of the misses really simple shots that should have resulted in goals. We should have been up at least another three goals at quarter time.

So Ed Richards and Libba mean nothing? And Naughton and Weightman inside F50 too?

Face it, we lost fair and square. Our forward line is a joke and Hine and co. have plenty to answer for.

I mean, he selected Macrae ahead of Holmes for starters…

Exactly. Carlton showed us last night how you win games of football this year. 7 goal blitz in the last. But fair play to our few stars still playing at the moment. You were surrounded by a bunch of VFL triers, but that's about all.

I just don't get this shut up shop mentality. The best way to save a game is to win it.

IF you have a real functioning forward line, we did not. Like to see the Baggers minus Curnow and McKay. Swans belted them.

Chris Dawes is the last KPF that we recruited from the national draft and developed into a a decent player.

Face it, you're as soft as a soggy Kleenex. Alas, no matter how many years pass, loss after loss, season after season, the entitled child within still spits out every put down of your own club you've sucked in like a sponge from other forums. And even after about the best grand final win in modern football history.

To be honest I didn’t think we had a hope in hell of winning this game with all our outs, and that’s how it turned out to be.We were very brave for three quarters but completely ran out of gas in the last quarter, because of all the young players and reserve grade players who just couldn’t run out the game.Fly said as much in his presser after the game.
