I will be out this arvo watching the 'other' football.
(Nephew is refereeing at the U16 Girls National championships)
Hoping for a good performance from the VFL boys this arvo.
Not sure about a win, too many changes each week contributing to lack of continuity in play. and we have tended to play crap against teams in the bottom part of the ladder.

I’ve just tuned in to watch the third quarter and notice McInnes wasn’t on the ground at all, having picked up a few touches early in the game. Anyone have an update on McInnes, especially considering he’s the likely heir apparent to replace Miochek this week ?
As an aside, just based on the third quarter alone, we were very poor. Skills were disappointing and our ability to have players calling for the handball while being surrounded by the opposition, was a sight to behold.
Apparently Eyre and Smit have shown a bit but just not in the time I have been watching.
Very early in the 4th quarter - Frankston 11 . 12 78. Collingwood 7 . 6 48

AJ has 5 goals and looks like the only one forward of centre.
Sullivan trying hard and getting a lot of the ball without chains ending in the F50.
Bytel ruining it with poor decisions and poor disposals. Allen not doing enough, wasted first round draft pick.
Macrae trying hard, some good moments but not there when it counts. Glover by himself at FB again. Purcell been ok with some good marks early in the 4th.
But VFL pies generally have no aerial presence and handball too often indiscriminately plus kicking from half back and the wings generally atrocious.
McInnes nowhere to be seen, doesn't look to be on the front row of the bench. Must be an injury or concussion.
Eyre could be out with concussion after 2 head knocks as well and didn't see much of the last quarter

Ed Allen kicked our last goal of the year at the 58minute mark of the last quarter

If Cameron can't play for a while I would seriously consider Smit being in the mix for an AFL call up.
He seems to have smarts in the ruck work and goes pretty well for second efforts.
I know he was considered a development prospect but no reason not too consider him just on form.

I think therefore I think - I think
Smit is 18, soon to be 19. If we picked him to ruck in the firsts we’d be charged with infanticide.think better wrote:If Cameron can't play for a while I would seriously consider Smit being in the mix for an AFL call up.

What is going on with Allan ? Thought he was supposed to be a bit of a talent.
Saw him get outmarked by the smallest player on the ground early in third quarter!!
Has anyone seen him on the training track, does he at least produce on the training track and is it a matter of filling out his lanky frame???
I hope we hang on to him until he fills out bc Im sick of these wasted first round picks!!
