Still mathematically possible (really stretching that definition!) if we won by 100 points and Carlton lost by 100 (along with Freo also losing).

As it is, I’ll be barracking for Fremantle and St Kilda next week so that the Blues can finish 9th!

I connected my IPhone to the telly and watched an amazing game on Saturday
With 48 points and another 4 next Friday that’s 52 aka 13 wins. Gee any other season be finals

But hey I got Scum going out 1st week to enjoy

Gave it a crack.

If Carlton LOSE by 98 points to St Kilda

AND

If Collingwood WIN by 98 points against Melbourne (so a combined differential of 196 points)

AND

If Fremantle LOSE to Port Adelaide

The ladder will look like this:

8th: Collingwood 52 105.3%
9th: Carlton 52 105.2%

Fly will take those odds.

**** that, they’re going out next week!

Even if our dream of a combined 196 margin is unrealistic, a Carlton loss to St Kilda is not!

The AFL might introduce “Wild Card” feature next season???

We would feature in that if it were now

Wild card round only being introduced to make more money.

A couple of extra teams supporters (especially the bigger clubs) paying for finals tickets, $$$.

Also another big sell for TV rights and advertisers.

12 wins, 2 draws, 9 losses (52 points)

OR - GWS (A) = LOSS (0 points)
R1 - Sydney (H) = LOSS (0 points)
R2 - St Kilda (A) = LOSS (0 points)
R3 - Brisbane Lions (A) = WON (4 points)
R4 - Hawthorn (N) = WON (8 points)
R6 - Port Adelaide (H) = WON (12 points)
R7 - Essendon (A) = DRAW (14 points)
R8 - Carlton (A) = WON (18 points)
R9 - West Coast (H) = WON (22 points)
R10 - Adelaide (H) = WON (26 points)
R11 - Fremantle (A) = DRAW (28 points)
R12 - Western Bulldogs (H) = LOSS (28 points)
R13 - Melbourne (H) = WON (32 points)
R14 - North Melbourne (A) = WON (36 points)
R16 - Gold Coast (A) = LOSS (36 points)
R17 - Essendon (H) = LOSS (36 points)
R18 - Geelong (H) = LOSS (36 points)
R19 - Hawthorn (A) = LOSS (36 points)
R20 - Richmond (H) = WON (40 points)
R21 - Carlton (H) = WON (44 points)
R22 - Sydney (A) = LOSS (44 points)
R23 - Brisbane Lions (H) = WON (48 points)
R24 - Melbourne (A) = WON (52 points)

In the end, Fly was right about us needing 14 wins to qualify for finals. At the time, most of us assumed 12 or 13 wins would suffice, but turns out it wasn't.

What? we only got North Melbourne once?
Oh, my bad - i thought we were Geelong, who get an extra charity game for a default top 4 spot.

The f@ckers didn't quite come to the party for us, so as a compromise, best I can offer them is a Maccas drive-thru run, or the leftover crusts and dregs from last nights pizza...
