Pies pounce on Pussies. Pics.

Post by die4pies »

Yes it is true.

The AFL boys belted the reigning premiers and now the VFL have topped it off with a very solid performance against the VFL premiers.

Scotty P would be very happy with the lack of 'passengers' in todays performance. The Cats threw everything at the young Pies and lead by 100 game veteran Justin Crow the team withstood the pressure and secure a nail biting one point victory.

A great team effort lead by the kid of Dyno-mite, Chris Dawes and his bag of five and something tells me that there are many, many more to come.

Great photos, thanks. Now we just have to convince the selectors that IT'S TIME for a change. Dawes (to add potency to our forward line) and Cox (for Goldsack) have to be considered straight off. Then there's Stanley and Macaffer who must be pressing for a senior spot.

Wonderful pictures.

Great to see so many VFL level players pushing hard for an AFL game, and it has to be said that these consistant performers must be rewarded before the regular season closes.

First time I've seen McCarthy and he's impessive. Good speed, good skills and nearly grabbed a sensational mark in defense in the last.

Barham is certainly very good offensively. Needs to work on his decision making, defensive skills, and put some weight on. Looks like a lighter version of Wellingham.

Good to see Keefe get a run. Hopefully he can play the remaining games this year and get some much needed exposure.

Casey-Leigh looks to have a bright future. Needs to work on his marking.

Dawes and Stanley would have been useful Friday night.

Crow easily the best of the non pies listed players. Some of his work was just sensational.
