I would normally never say any win from the Pies is boring, but that game almost qualified. I was hoping the Tigers would show a bit more fight but it was obvious that within the first ten minutes they realised they had absolutely no hope against us and basically were cannon fodder after that.
That game was nothing but a glorified training run, end of story. Thank goodness for Goldy's torp leading to a goal and Didak's highlight-reel goals otherwise that wasn't a particularly memorable Saturday afternoon listening to that painful female commentator and the other fools in the box so clearly struggling with the idea of having to give Collingwood credit for anything.
Oh, and if Swan doesn't win the Brownlow it's a complete and utter disgrace. Anyone who doesn't believe this guy is the best player in the game right now is flat out kidding themselves. And yeah I know about Ablett and Judd and Buddy and Hodge, blah blah blah. I don't care. No one has been more productive or consistent than Dane all season. Absolute machine.

All I can say is bring on the FILTH.
Brownlow should be out of Swan, Ablett and Hodge. Hodge has had his most consistent and outstanding year, Abletts first 7 games were pretty much BOGs and Swannie is having his best and most consistent year....so its going to be neck and neck.
Only question is has Swannie been nice to the Umpies this year...
Bring on next week where Swan willl show Judas how to be a real team player...cant wait.

Hate to highlight the Negatives, but with a comprehensive win, we need more critical analysis IMO.
Did Wellingham hit a target all day? The amount of times he was clear and turned it over amazed me. I can accpet a player turning it over under pressure, but when clear of his opponent, it's unacceptable. He couldn't complian about limited options either. There were options everywhere. Either poor decisions or poor skills or both.
Wellers will be lucky to keep his place. And will likely lose it to Heater. The advantage of Goldsack holding his position down back , is that Heater can now play wing or a defensive centerman. I think he can add a fair bit to our team up the ground.
Too often we bombed to the goal square. In the last quarter there were plenty of loose options 25-45m out that should have been used.
Thought we played OK, without being switched on or sharp.

Gee it's going to be difficult squeezing Heater and Travis back in the side next week. Whoever misses out will be very unlucky.
Good result boring game (thank god). Wellers might be lucky to remain. At the same time we don't want to be too big against the Bluze because their smaller running brigade have caused havoc with some top teams this year.

Well then, give me that kind of boring EVERY week please!
Honestly these people who love tight games must have strong hearts. As for me if we put the opposition away in the first quarter I'm very rested and happy for the remainder of the game. Saturday was a sheer pleasure. Can't wait to do the same to the Scum.
