Someone took Bally out late with a high bump - that should go. A couple of weeks I would've though, give or take for good record / bad record. Definitly high, late, forceful and reckless or negligent, should be more than 100 points in that I would've thought.

But regardless, I doubt we'll see them again, as poorly as the Saints played today

Quartermain was like the dobber kid who always snitched when you passed a note or swore under your breath. Bring in the Chief!

After yesterday, surely we'd be hoping to come up against the Hawks in a preliminary final. If they can beat Freo and then dispatch the Saints in week 2, we'll have an easy run to the grand final.

OK, it was disappointing to lose but let's move on.

If we can't beat the injury depleted, out of form Doggies this week then we can't win the flag.....end of story!

Speaking of Nathan Brown did any one who was watching on TV see the free he gave away to Buddy by slightly nudging him under the ball with his forearm and Buddy took a dive and milked the free........on the replay Quaterbrain said yep no doubt that's in the back then Chrisso quipped back with.....Gee I'd bet Nathans brother from west coast would have liked that type of free paid to him a couple of weeks back!

The men running the chook lotto AKA MRP will probably have a look at both incidents as Quarter Brain alerted to them in the commentary.

Notice he didn't say anything when Mitchell stuck his leg out in an attempted trip or the player who applied the punch to the nose of jolly didn't get a mention. Selective commentary at its finest!
Stratton accidentally collided with Jolly, trying to spoil the marking contest. There was NOTHING in it. Two men going in opposite directions with the collision the result. If this got looked at, I hope the AFL folds.

Wellers - elbow to the head of Mitchell (?) may be looked at, but Murphy did the same thing on Friday night so......

Toovey - well behind the play and the camera angle didn't show anything conclusive. That mean 8 weeks

There was a free kick in it at least, incidental or not its still a free...
Woke up feeling uneasy, first loss since May, but as all have said,a win or lose against the Hawks means nothing if we don't do the business next week

So whatsinaname if you splatter someones nose all over his face with your fist there is NOTHING in it eh?

Go ask Chis Grant about the brownlow he missed out on and Jason Cloke for the Grand Final he missed out on for similar incidents.

If Stratton doesn't get cited I will then believe the MRP is corrupt!

Relax mate, if defenders get sighted for accidental contact like this (albeit heavy contact) then the game is in trouble. Imagine if that was Maxwell delivering that spoil, would you want him sighted?

Its not about if I would want our skipper cited or not if you do the crime you do the time.

What my concern is I have a son who plays junior AFL and week in week out I see these young players go out on the field and try to emulate their heroes.

I wouldn't like the game turned into netball but when the MRP starts to let off incidents like the Chapman/Picken or the Picken/Selwood or the Westcoast/Nth Melb incidents I feel compelled to pull my son out of Junior AFL for fear of serious injury.

Because if hawks get over freo, then saints (both do-able), we will meet them in prelim (assuming we beat dogs).....
