We cna get another midfileder who is almost as good as Judd, we can't get another Tarrant, cause there isn't one.
Well i think there is another Taz around (in Riewoldt and others) but what i think your point was leading to was that its much easier to get a great midfielder like Judd then a class forward like Taz. Someone like Travis Johnstone can easily play the role that Judd would play, but we would be extremely hard pressed to find someone like taz, particularly in this years trade period.

So the answer would be no, but theres no way the weagles would trade Judd for taz anyway.

Gun forwards are hard to come by.
I'd have to stick with Taz, even though I think Judd is a gun!
A super gun in fact.

I expect big things from Taz next season and I'm sure he will not let down the Collingwood faithful. A forward line of Taz, Rocca, Cloke, Fraser, Buckley, Didak, Davis, and Davidson, will make it difficult for a lot of defences to contain.

I'm drewlling just thinking about!

I'd go for it. Tarrant has the potential to be a gun, but he also has the potential to slide into oblivion. Judd on the other hand, will be one of the best for the next 10 years.

I agree CBW the potential forward line is a ripper, but we need to get the ball down there quickly and accurately.

When you put it like that it is certainly an exciting prospect, If all these guys can have a solid preseason and stay fit during the season we should have a very potent foward line indeed.

I don't know though, I get the feeling Judd's more likely to try and kick the goal himself than deliver to the forwards at this stage.

The scary thing is he pulls it off a lot of the time

Mags, he was...what...19 when he went back to Mildura. I don't think you can judge his current state of mind, based on something that happened 5 years ago.

Who is going to kick goals if Tarrant leaves? I don't know how we would fill the hole.

As if either team would agree

Tarrant more important than Judd, are we serious. One is a Brownlow winner, consitent ball winner, future leader and what not and the other is an inconsistent forward that can't get his shit together off the field. I'd take Judd over Tarrant every day of the week and Collingwood would to.

Nath, I think we would all like Judd. But, I think we have to ask the question - who will kick goals?

It's not going to happen so this "debate" is essentially an intellectual wank.

Judd won't be going anywhere.

i would much rather Judd at Collingwood than Tarrant, Judd has a great attitude compared to Tazza and is alot more consistant. I will admit it would be hard to replace a Tarrant (we have alot of up and coming tall forwards) but i think in the end you would get a much better return from Judd. I wouldn't be saying this trade would never happen, Eagles need a forward and Collingwood will need a top of the line midfielder in the next couple of years to replace Nathan Buckley when he retires.

Would do it in an instant, no need to even think about it.

Another Buckley and perhaps better and they don't come around to often.

Of course if we offered them Taz and pick 7 they'd still knock it back.

Taz is a very good, tall, marking, mobile fwd, that misses far too many getable shots on goal.

Judd is already a champion and is almost the complete package.
