Strikes me that a late change for Woody isn't out of the questuon.swoop42 wrote:P.S-That Collingwood lineup would still look a lot better with THE BEAST in it. Need Leroy to have a big game as we're a tall/medium short in our forward line IMO.
But more likely than that, the team selection is evidence of a game plan based around the idea that the Vomit backline comprises 7 mediums. (Close enough.)
If we play the customary 2 to 3 talls, and our talls have a night out, marking everytthing in sight, the Vomit lose.
If we play the customary 2 to 3 talls, and our talls do not have a night out, Vomit's running medium defenders cut us apart, becauses with the best will in the world the likes of Cloke and Brown can't stop the likes of Fisher and Gwilt getting into space unmarked (the same way Maxy does) and they can't stop them running off and hurting us. We's probably still win, but a GF1 type result isn't out of the question. Note that Dawes is out, Wood and Jolly and Keefe are makeshift forwards at best, Brown is a good workman not a genuine power forward, Cloke's last game had him dropping more than he caught, and the game is being played at night. All good reasons not to go tall.
If we play Cloke plus a little help from Brown, and all the rest running players, there is no frakin way the Vomit backmen will be able to keep up with the hard running put in by Sidebottom, Fasolo, Krak, Blair, Thomas, Ball, Swan and company. Expect to see Swan and Ball rest at full forward and bag two or three each. Expect to see an arm wrestle at first, then am ever-increasing amount of pressure lead to a farkkin steamroller finish.

Saints have a very good team selected. Their back six will be hard to score against.
They'll break even in the ruck, so we need to win the clearances.
Our backline can't afford to play like they did against Essington in the first half.
Eggspeck a very close game

All valid points but Dawes would have been included if passed fit.Tannin wrote:Strikes me that a late change for Woody isn't out of the questuon.swoop42 wrote:P.S-That Collingwood lineup would still look a lot better with THE BEAST in it. I tipped the Saints by 10 Points Tonight
Show some faith. We will win comfortably.
