What a joke you can't call eye gouging serious misconduct and then hand out a piddling fine. I hope Brisbane destroy the AFL's love child and their compliment of morally bankrupt aholes of which Greene is the worst but is well supported by Whitfield and Sausage

If we end up playing GWS, we can use this to our advantage. Get under his skin, make him throw tantrums a la Heath Shaw of old, and give away free kicks and 50m penalties. Rile him up.

Now I ask one question. If this were a Collingwood player, how many weeks would he have got?
A fine for "serious misconduct"??? You have to be kidding. One rule for us and then the rest. Hope the Brions smash 'em!

BTW Mumford is by far the dirtiest Giant. Watch him try to kneecap Grundy if we play them. Anyone got some spare coke to tempt him with before the game?

Yep, yep and yep! They make Mick Gatto look as clean as a Chinese laundry.

I can't believe they successfully argued a fine because of finals.
Same rules didn't apply in 2002 or 2003.
Seems to only work if you play for an AFL supported team like GWS or Sydney (Barry Hall).
Play for Pies and you're shit outta luck

Spot on!!
Was thinking the same myself. If Greene was Sidebottom, Greenwood etc. it would be “ yeah, but the head is sacrosanct 2-3 weeks. Same with Natanui. If that was a Grundy , Maynard or Anthony Rocca... 3-4 weeks without hesitation. Im positive of that.

I cant believe anyone is surprised! It was a given, sane as the Barry Hall one, they need GWS to do well in finals! there was 18000 at Saturdays game, plus a few late doggie fans, seriously, we get that many at training the week before the grand final!! AFL need to admit its not working but they wont.
so fricken rigged, bloody disgusting!

They want GWS to win a flag, don't you guys get it?
This is Barry Hall written all over it again!
What's the bet if this was a COLL player, he would've got 3+ weeks!

Wow. What a contrast between the NRL and the AFL. A Canberra player was outed 8 weeks for eye-gouging on the eve of the finals. I don't have a link, but the video footage of the Greene incident and that one could almost be identical.
The AFL is just plain weak - unless it comes to Collingwood players.
